How to Tell if Progressive Dynamics Converter is in Lithium Mode

Updated 05/16/2025 | Published 02/23/2025

Question:

I’ve bought and replaced the orginal with the 4655 and replaced the lead acid with a lithium, my question is does the system come set for lithium or do I need to push the blue button?

Hey Kenneth, thanks for reaching out!

I think it comes set for Lithium, but you will need to check. If you look at the "H6" position on the circuit board (see attached photo), you'll want to make sure that jumper is in the "LI" position for your Progressive Dynamics Replacement Section # PD4655V.

The blue button has to do with the stage of charging that the unit is in, not for what type of battery it is compatible with - which is a common misconception.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

Where is this circuit board? Is this where we attached the DC wires, or is it on the converter itself?

@BonnieM It's on the converter itself.
