Question:

Have a 2018 forest river xlr hyper lite with Wfco 8955. Want to switch to lithium options. Looks like this is 55 amps output on a 15 amp breaker. Can I use a 60 amp output on same fuse? Also which converter charger would be recommended to replace this wfco 8955?

Hey Josh, thanks for the pictures and all the information! A 15 amp breaker/circuit can be used with the Progressive Dynamics 9300 item # PD79RR.

To replace the converter section of your WF-8955PEC 55A power center, I recommend the Progressive Dynamics Replacement Converter for WFCO RV Power Centers item # PD4655V. It fits in the same spot as your existing converter.

Both the Progressive Dynamics 9300 item # PD79RR and the Replacement Converter item # PD4655V will work with lithium batteries.

How big of a battery bank are you planning on installing?

I really need more information on the other side like which inverter to run and if an internal transfer switch in the inverter allows for wiring directly to panel for use when no shore power
