These aluminum steps plant solidly on the ground, so there’s no bounce or flex when you climb in or out. Each leg extends in 1" increments for a total of 13", letting you level the steps on uneven surfaces. The design completely removes the springboard feel common with factory steps, giving you a confident, wobble-free entry even when the campsite isn’t perfectly flat.
With an 8" drop/rise and a 10-5/8" deep top step, the StepAbove feels natural underfoot instead of steep or cramped. Each tread is 19-1/2" wide, so there’s plenty of room to place your feet or guide kids and pets safely inside. The textured surface and non-slip tread tape add grip in wet weather, making every step more secure.
The aluminum step platforms are rustproof and scratch resistant, supported by a powder-coated steel frame that resists corrosion. This setup supports up to 500 lbs without flexing, so it stays sturdy when you’re carrying gear or helping someone up the stairs. The lightweight build also makes lifting and lowering the steps easy.
When it’s time to travel, the steps fold up and lock inside the doorway to stay clean and protected from the elements. If you’re parked too close to a wall or another vehicle, you can pull the pins on the hinge plate and lift the steps out to access the door. That detachable design solves the tight-clearance issue other fold-down steps can’t.
This model is built for entry heights between 36-1/2" and 42" and doorways 23-3/4" to 26-1/4" wide. The 22-1/4" mounting bracket and 46" travel height keep the steps compact when stowed. Every detail is pre-assembled and ready to mount so you can upgrade to solid footing the same day.

Steps came pretty quick but also arrived damaged. The rails on both sides had dents in them next to the second step. Unfortunately I don't have time to send them back so I went ahead and installed them. I'm pretty sure it's not etrailer's fault. More than likely it's the way our packages get handled with the shipping companies. Other than the damage, the steps are super easy to install, fit perfect on my grand design momentum, and built sturdy. I gave 3 stars due to the damages from shipping only! Great product!!!!
Small damage in packaging did not affect the steps. These are amazing. Cannot wait to use them. Going to help our qsenior dogs making it so much easier for them to get in and out.

One year in and still considered one of the top 5 upgrades Ive done to this RV. Going from 3 steps to 4, the width and stability very happy!
The product was well worth it. It is quality and installation was easy. The steps arrived two days after I placed the order. I would recommend them.
Great addition and much easier to use than my factory installed steps
Latching mechanism is flimsy, suggest a better more solid system and free retrofit to previously purchased units. Take a page from the Lippert Solid Step.
This company is legit. After receiving the same item from [online store] in a destroyed box, used product without hardware we returned it back to them and ordered from etrailer. We have received excellent service in the past with them and they did not fail us this time. Thank you for your service.
Install was just as advertised, quick, simple and easy. Very stable set of steps.
I had to remove the original steps to make room for an auto leveling system. The steps were right where the rear jack needed to be placed.
These are a great improvement to the pullout stairs our trailer came with. My wife likes how stable they are. She has a much easier time climbing these stairs.
Worked great installing it. Recommend to all who own camping trailers.

Replacement steps fit great, My wife and i were able to remove damaged step and install new in less than 15 minutes. Mounting screws provdied were even better than factory... Some of these were stripped. Factory one had one tie back latch, new has two. Would like to see vertical adjustment in these to raise or lower adjusting for door hinge but fits well.

Package was heavily damaged when it was delivered but steps had no damage. It was an easy install
This unit fit into our 28” door opening.
The hand rail rivnut provision should have been provided for both outside and inboard mounting rather then just inboard.

Working out great. Well designed and built.
It does make entry very stable but, it is very heavy to lift in & out of doorway.
With rug step protectors on it a lot of dirt falls into coach and you must be very careful how you park when traveling or you won't have enough room to put the step down,(rest stops or if someone parks too close). I'm thinking about removing them
as they are not for me.

I removed them, theres no retro fit for them to the strut assist version.
The installation was just as easy as the video! I had it installed and adjusted to my liking in about 20 minutes.
The steps feel solid when you go up and down them, unlike the mushy feeling steps I have endured the past 17 years.
My advice to anyone with the underneath fold out steps purchase and install this unit before they give out and someone you love gets injured! The product is solid and well built, great craftsmanship.
I was informed by sales rep that this 4 step stairs would fit my camper. I tried installing them when my camper was at campsite and they bottomed out on the ground before it would go completely down on threshold. I could not shut door. Customer service was not willing to pay for the total of return shipping. They will only cover half. I am very upset that I have to pay anything to send them back.
