How Much Clearance is Needed Between Entry Door and Threshold of RV for MORryde StepAbove

Question:
How much clearance is required between the threshold and the bottom of the entrance door and screen to accommodate the mounting plate on the step. I noticed 3/8inch is required on the MR28RR but could not determine the required clearance for the MR88RR. My 5th wheel has approx 1/4inch available
