Make your first generation MORryde steps removable by upgrading the standard mounting bracket to this one. Easily detach the steps from your doorway when parked in a tight lot by sliding the pins from the hinges. Fits 26" to 28" doorways.

The hinges supplied were not as shown in this ad; they were the type 2, skinny hinges. Not useable with my camper. The assembly is scheduled to be returned for a refund.

The hinge is a huge upgrade from the original but......MORryde needs to adjust the angle of the attachment to steps themselves. I had to place shims under the door stops to get the correct angle for the door to correctly close/seal. I attempted to adjust the hinge location to make this adjustment but affected lower fitment. Customer service was excellent as they sent the wrong assembly the first time.

Sorry to hear it isn't fitting properly, Mark. I saw Will reached out for you to call him back, but before you do, did you match the picture on this page under the specs and note? If that doesn't look like what you currently have on your steps, you may need the # MR79DR.

@LazerS looks like that part is made for 30 inch door frame, my door frame is about 27”

@Mark The MORryde Removable Mounting Plate for 1st Gen MORryde StepAbove RV Steps # MR32AR should fit 26" to 28" door frames. Have you had a chance to measure what you received? This should measure 10-11/16" long x 23-3/8" wide x 4-3/8" tall. If it doesn't measure like this, you may have received the MORryde Removable Mounting Plate for 1st Gen MORryde StepAbove RV Steps # MR92AR. This one is for 30" to 32" wide door frames and will measure 10-11/16" long x 27-5/8" wide x 4-3/8" tall. If you could double check those measurements, I can definitely see how we need to proceed.

Just what I needed for my 2018 XLR boost 20CB. The gen 1 steps were in the way of my rzr so I installed this base so I could close the door with the steps removed to fit the rzr. The only thing to be cautious of is this piece does not come with instructions. I found the instructions on morryde website and it says to install the mount point 15/16” from the floor trim piece. That did not work for my particular XLR. Doing it that way made it so the doors couldn’t close. I had to reposition it to 2” away from the floor trim piece. Other than that exactly what I wanted.

Nicely built and heavy assembly. Eliminates one of the major disadvantages of swing out steps.

It was easy to replace old hinge with new. Just drill out old rivets and use supplied hardware to put on new.

I wish I could have ordered the step with the Removable Mounting Plate originally!! It was rather hard to install the mount bolts!!

The removable step is great. I store the trailer in a tight space and can not fully open the door. Removing the step before storing grants me access to inside. Was easy to install.

    Hey Enrico, we only have the one set of outriggers with the part # LC301704 which it sounds like you've already checked out. While these seem to be different from what you have now it should still work for you as these are designed to attach to standard RV steps and frames. You might have to replace both outriggers though. Do you know what kind of steps you have?

    Yes, the MORryde StepAbove RV Steps with Strut Assist like # MR85RR can use the removable mounting plate. It isn't compatible with the struts but you already plan to remove them so that won't be an issue. Assuming you have a 26-28" wide door frame and hinge style 1 (first generation steps) you need the # MR32AR you were looking at. The flat plate gets drilled into the floor and then the corner brackets bolt to the steps with the included hardware.     Hey Kris, thanks for the pictures! The mounting plate part that attaches to the threshold of your Jayco is not available for separate purchase. MORryde doesn't offer it as a replacement part. To install your 3-Step MORryde StepAbove RV Steps, you'll need to replace the entire hinge portion that's attached to your steps.
