Question:

I want to up grade my steps on my 2013 Montana 31RL fifth wheel. My doors including screen door open 90 degrees not 180 due to exterior mounted door stop. This decreases my door jam width by 1 5/8” to 26 3/8” My height from ground to top of jam is 40 1/2” From your chart I see I need the MORryde MR88RR My question is, since the step frame is at least 1 5/8” away from the door frame on the door hinge side will the closing latch still engage? Thank you :

You are going to need to use the MORryde Quick Connect RV Steps # MR25HR on your 2013 Keystone Montana 31RL. The prop on the bottom of the door will prevent the door from closing with the MORryde StepAbove RV Steps # MR88RR installed. MORryde also does not recommend only having one side of the steps latching on the door jamb. Instead if you were to remove the door prop you would then be able to use the wider Steps # MR28RR. But this would require you to open the door past 90 degrees to fold the steps up and down and since the prop rod would not fit there is nothing to prevent it from swinging past 90 degrees.
