Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this removable hinge kit for the MORryde Step Above RV steps for 30 inch to 32 inch wide RV door frames. Now this part here will convert your standard first-generation step above steps to a nice quick release style like on the second generation step above steps. They use the quick release hinge plate that'll let you quickly remove the MORryde step above steps from your RV. Now, this part will replace the complete upper steel frame section of your first-generation hinge plate. And as we mentioned, it's designed to work with 30 inch to 32 inch wide RV door frames.
Just gonna zoom in and show you what we're talking about. You can see the pins. There's one right here and one over here. These two removable pins will slide out and let you detach the steps, which will be the frame right here, from your doorway. The hinge plate will stay installed on your threshold, pull these pins and then your steps can be removed.
So it's perfect for tight storage lots where there might not be enough space to fold the steps down. The frame itself is a nice powder coated steel frame. It is corrosion resistant and this is a very easy installation. Some drilling is required. Now this part is made in the USA.
Just to give you a few dimensions on this. Overall width of this one end to the other is right at 27 and 5/8 inches wide. The length of it, if we go from front here, we're not gonna include the hinge plate, So just from here to here, you're going to be looking at right about 10 and 11/16 inches long. And then the overall height on it will be from the bottom here to the very top here. So you're going to be looking at right about four and 3/8 inches tall.

If you have the solid steps without the quick release, this is a must. It fit perfect.

The step hinge kit and hand rail look to be very good quality will be installing the parts next week will send pix of install next week. Thanks for the quick response on part I ordered wrong
Super EZ to replace existing hinge plate. I would suggest using 3/16" x 1/2" rivets to make the job easier like I did. Note: Only use 3/16" x 3/8" rivets to reinstall the kick plate below the top step
