Hi, there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this MORyde replacement StepAbove Removable Mounting Plate. This is going to replace the quick release hinge plate on your second generation MORyde StepAbove RV Steps. Now, those steps are sold separately, but if you do have them already and you're needing to replace the original quick release hinge plate, this is going to be an exact replacement from MORyde, so you can trust it is gonna fit right in place that original. Now, this is going to work with your StepAbove RV Steps that have a 23 and a half inch wide step.

So keep that in mind, make sure that it's gonna be compatible with your model. Now, I do want to point out too that there are two different options for the hinge plate on the StepAbove Steps. So put up a graphic there for you so you can kind of see the difference. That hinge one doesn't have a notch where that arrow's pointing, and it's got about a two inch wide hinge. With our hinge style two, we do have that notch that's gonna reveal one of the screw holes.

And then the depth of the hinge is just three quarters of an inch. So you can see here on our hinge, this is that hinge two style, just that three quarter inch width there. And we do have that notch in there. So make sure you're getting the correct one for your setup. If you do have the hinge style one, you'll want to go with the plate model that you see on the screen there that is sold separately.

It's a different part number, but that is for that hinge style one option. This does not come with hardware to get this secured into your RV's floor, but you can reuse your existing hardware. We do have hardware here to get this mounted, get your steps mounted onto this plate here. So it'll be very simple to get installed. This is made here in the USA, so you can trust it is going to be great quality for you.

It'll do a great job, but even more than that, because it is coming from MORyde, you can trust it's gonna be compatible with your steps. Everything's gonna work out the way you need it to. I do wanna give you a few measurements, make sure I just give you extra reassurance that this is gonna work. So you can see our width there. We're sitting at about 26 and a half inches wide. Our length, if we measure back to the end of our plate here, we're looking at approximately 11, and we'll call it, 11 and three eighths of an inch long. And then our height, right about four inches tall. The opening here where your steps are going to get installed, I'm measuring at approximately 23 and quarter of an inch. So again, just make sure it's gonna work for your setup, with the width of your MORyde StepAbove RV Steps. But as long as you get the matching set, this is gonna be exactly what you need.
