Fit like a glove with no vibration. Couldn't be happier.

by:

The hitch was shipped and USPS lost the hitch in Memphis. After 28 days from the first item was shipped, I finally received my hitch after multiple calls to etrailer and USPS. The hitch is great, the shipping through USPS is not.

by:

This hitch is easy to Sam and is a rugged unit

by:

Looks great, easy installation

by:

Perfect fit. Very solid.

by:

I hate to admit that the hitch has not moved one inch from where it was installed. Of course that may be entirely because the trailer it's mounted on has not either... I have no doubt it will perform perfectly when called upon to tow the the small aluminum row boat that will be attached to it. Thanks for the follow up and we'll be sure to keep you all informed of future adventures. RTC, Micheal/China Syndrome survivor.

by:

Well made, excellent product.

by:

Bought it for a heavier hitch for my 2000 Polaris Ranger 6x6 and it worked excellent. Just one minor adjustment and it fit like a glove. etrailer is the way to go, will be buying more from them for my new to me 2009 Ford E350 ambulance that I will be using as a tow vehicle for my travel trailer.

by:

Works great, tow my utility trailer with polaris razor behind my travel trailer

by:

A quality bit of kit. My only problem is the burly box steel bumper on my 1990 LJ78 Land Cruiser is 2" X 4 1/8", apparently, not 2" X 4". So the nice bolts and nuts included in the package don't quite go through the holes at the top. I had to substitute thinner eye bolts. I'm pulling a very light canoe trailer with this, so I'm not worried about the loss in strength. If you have a real cross frame member for a bumper, as I do this is an inexpensive light towing solution. I would have rated it excellent if the bolt holes were somehow adjustable up and down.

by:

We had an interesting choice to make with our RV. We could either take the cargo carrier or the bikes. We wanted both, of course, and this hitch gave us that option.
We always check with etrailer.com first for any parts they might have to meet our travel needs.

by:

Very nice specialty receiver for 2" Reese Hitch. Fits on 4" x 2" bumper stock - dimensions are spot on. Finish on surface and edges is smooth...nothing to catch or "bite" during installation!

Thank you

by:

etrailer makes ordering parts very easy - always impressed with customer service I get.

The bumper hitch is sturdy, and fit my 2" x 4" trailer bumper perfectly. it is a well built product and is very stable on the bumper.

by:

Wrong product - and no help from etrailer.com in rectifying the situation! I don't think anyone could use this product, and it's not clear enough in the information that it's for a tiny bumper - not a regular RV bumper.

by:

Just received this product, so haven't really used it yet. But wow, it is really built well. I looked at numerous similar products, and am really happy with my choice. Should give us years of great service. May be overkill for a bike rack on the back of our Takena Trailer, but will most assuredly give us peace of mind on our long road trips.

by:

Very good quality but I had to send back as I ordered the wrong bumper size. They were very helpful with making the return easy. I was sent a shipping label.by text and sent it back. Just waiting for my refund. All items I have bought have been of good quality and not high priced. Very Happy.

by:

Very sturdy. We use it to hold a bike rack on our trailer.

by:

5 Star Service every time. I put my order in yesterday before noon and it was on my doorstep today before noon. I will recommend etrailer to everyone!!! Thanks Again!!!!

by:

Used for a rear hitch on my 5th wheel to tow the jet ski trailer. Very sturdy.

by:

The hitch came on time. Etrailer stayed in touch with me. I am sure it will work great for pulling my flat bottom boat. Have to wait for winter to get over with.

by:

Well made, easy installation, fast delivery.
Simple
instructions to follow no drilling required.

Great folks to do business with, can not go wrong using this company.

by:

The bumper hitch was what I was exactly looking for. Easy mount to the bumper.

by:

Arrived in a timely fashion. Even sturdier than I had expected. Fits my trailer bumper well. I am very satisfied with this product.

by:

Easy to install and well built. Bigger than I needed to mount our current bike rack to our Camp Lite 11FK, but works great and it was simple.

by:

video information was a big help, it eliminated guesswork on my application. fit & finish were excellent & my parts arrived on time.
I will buy from etrailer again.

  • Bumper Mounted Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2 inch Bumper
The best solution I can provide for you would be a trailer bumper hitch like the part # C19101. This hitch is designed to attach to 2 by 4 inch bumpers, but with a 2 inch spacer you could attach it to your 2 by 2 inch bumper. You would need to provide your own spacer. Or you could go with a frame mounted hitch like the part # 13703. As long as your frame is between 22 and 72 inches this hitch would work well for you. You will need to be sure that you are using a bike rack designed for...

  • Hitch and Bike Rack Recommendations For Carrying 2 Bikes on the Bumper of an RV
We sell RV bumper hitches that would work well for you to carry an RV rated bike rack at the rear of your Montana 5th wheel trailer. If you have a 2 inch square bumper I would recommend the Curt Hitch part # C19101. If you have a 4 inch square bumper I would recommend the Curt Hitch part # E-100. Now for a bike rack you will need to get a rack that is rated for use behind an RV. The ride is much rougher at the rear of an RV when compared to a passenger vehicle, so a rack not rated for...

  • Mounting Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch on Puma Ultra Lite Camper
I'm attaching the installation video for the Adjustable Width Hitch # 13703 to this answer, but as you can see at about 5:00 into the video, the side plates of the hitch are going to sit directly on the ledges of your I or C beams of the frame of the trailer. For that reason, you're not going to be able to mount it lower than those plates are going to sit. I don't know if the black water tank will come into play as much as I would worry about the stabilizer jacks being the part that keeps...

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch for Fifth Wheel Trailer to Tow a Second Light Weight Trailer
We generally do not recommend towing a trailer with a trailer. It is illegal in many states, so you will want to check with the DMV in any state you travel through. Also you will want to check with the manufacturer of your fifth wheel to see if the bumper on your trailer is designed to support any additional weight due to its construction. Some fifth wheels are, and some aren't. That said, it sounds like you may have a 4 inch continuously welded steel RV bumper so you can use the Curt...

  • Determining If Curt Bumper Mount Hitch C19101 Can Carry Bike Rack On 1998 Dutchemen Pop Up Camper
As long as the rear bumper on your 1998 Dutchemen 1203 Pop Up Camper is 2" x 4" then the Curt RV Bumper Hitch - 2" # C19101 you were looking at will work perfectly for you. For a non-trailered load like a bike rack, you will also need to use the Curt Stabilizing Strap # 18050 to keep from voiding the hitches warranty. This hitch has a 350lb tongue weight rating so it will be plenty strong to support your bike rack weighing roughly 160lbs with bikes, but your bumper may not be this strong....

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch for Rear of Jayco Jayflight Trailer
The best option we have to add a rear trailer hitch to a Jayco Jayflight is with either a frame mounted hitch, the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 13703 or a bumper mounted hitch, the Curt RV Bumper Hitch part # C19101. These options will both work great to hold a bike rack and bikes. The frame mounted option will allow for a higher weight capacity in most cases. I don't have any information on the brackets welded to the frame unfortunately and whether or not they are for...

I have a solution for you, but the Curt Hitch part # C19101 that you referenced is designed to fit 2 inch wide by 4 inch tall bumpers or frames. I can't safely recommend it for a 2 inch by 7 inch frame. A multi-fit hitch would be a better option. If the frame rails that run down the length of your trailer on either side are between 22 and 72 inches apart the Curt Hitch part # 13703 would be your best option. • Recommended Bike Rack for Trailer with Tilting Bumper Mounted Spare Tire
For your camping trailer that has a tilting bumper mounted spare tire, I recommend looking at an RV approved hitch-mounted bike rack like the Swagman Dispatch 2 Bike Platform Rack # S44FR. This will slide into a 2 inch trailer hitch receiver and hold 2 bikes of up to 45 pounds each. When the bikes are unloaded from the carrier, the upright mast can be folded down to allow you to tilt back the spare tire on your trailer for rear storage access. This carrier also includes a hitch and cable...

  • Availbility of Trailer Hitch for RV
The RV hitches are fairly universal so I can give you some options and you can decide based on dimensions and the style you want. For a frame mounted hitch you will need to know the frame width of your RV. The Curt # C13701 fits frames 18" to 51" wide and the # 13703 fits frames 22" to 72" wide. You could also choose to go with a bumper mount hitch. The Curt # E-100 fits a 4" x 4" bumper and the # C19101 fits a 2" x 4" bumper. You will also need to find the capacity of your RV/bumper...

We offer both frame-mount and bumper-mount hitches for trailers and all such items can be seen on the linked page. Frame-mount hitches like # C13701 will generally offer higher capacity than the bumper-mount variety like # C19101. • Can a Trailer Hitch be Installed on a Dune Buggy
We have several different universal-type of hitches but none specifically for 1-1/2 inch steel tubing (which I assume is round tube). The best solution for you is going to be to have a receiver tube, # E-9, welded onto the tubing by a professional welder. It would probably take about 5 minutes to weld on and I am certain they would not charge much for this installation. Welding services can be found all over. Check your local Yellow Pages (if they still exist) for welders, machine shops,...

  • Availability of a RV Hitch that Does Not Require Frame Drilling
All of the frame mount RV hitches we carry including the Curt Hitch part # 13703 that you referenced will require some drilling to install onto the RV. It really wouldn't be too difficult to install. I attached an install video for you to check out. If you have a bumper you might be able to use a bumper mount hitch on your RV that would not require any drilling or cutting. If you have a 4 inch square bumper you would want part # E-100, if you have a 2 inch square bumper you would want...

The Curt RV Bumper Hitch part # C19101 can be a great choice but it does require a full wrap bumper. This doesn't necissarily mean it is solid steel it just means it is boxed or it has metal on all 4 sides. I explain this further in the attached video. Part # C19101 is for 2"x4" bumpers and the Curt RV Bumper 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver part # E-100 is for 4"x4" bumpers. Your trailer has a very wide frame, there are no frame mounted hitches we carry that would work for you due to that width so your best option would be a bumper mounted hitch like the # E-100 designed to fit a 4 inch square continuously welded steel bumper or the part # C19101 designed to fit a 2 inch wide by 4 inch tall bumper. • Trailer Hitch Receiver to Fit on Travel Trailer Bumper for a Scooter Carrier
If your bumper measures 4 by 4 inches or 4-1/2 by 4-1/2 inches and is made of steel and not aluminum you can use the Swagman clamp on receiver, part # S64025. It sounds like your bumper is a continuous welded bumper, meaning it has all four sides boxed in and isn't open on either side. If your bumper is 4 by 2 inches then instead we have part # C19101. I also recommend trying to determine the weight capacity of the bumper with the trailer manufacturer if you can.

When they tested it on a tube bumper, it was found to have a 3500 towing 350 lb tongue weight capacity. Since it hasn't been tested for the use you are proposing, the weight capacity would be completely unknown, which is why Curt doesn't recommend it.
