Question:

Hello- We are looking to add bikes to our camping adventures. We have a pop up trailer, 2018 Rockwood, with a factory installed roof rack. We are considering part number C19101, a bumper attach hitch. We were wondering if this part would work with a pop up. The bumper on the back of the trailer is not solid, and the bed posts go into it. Would this part work?

The Curt RV Bumper Hitch part # C19101 can be a great choice but it does require a full wrap bumper. This doesn't necissarily mean it is solid steel it just means it is boxed or it has metal on all 4 sides. I explain this further in the attached video. Part # C19101 is for 2"x4" bumpers and the Curt RV Bumper 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver part # E-100 is for 4"x4" bumpers. Please check your owner's manual to ensure you do not exceed what your camper is able to haul.

The Yakima LongHaul part # Y02476 is a great 4 bike rack option.
