Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this replacement 26 tooth crown gear for the Lippard RV slide out mechanism. Now this is a replacement 26 tooth crown gear for above floor slides. This is a crown gear for the slide out mechanisms. It is for use on the lipper above floor slide outs. It's very easy do-it-yourself installation.

This does have a 12 inch diametric pitch and a 14.5 degree pressure angle, and this part is an exact match component, but that should do it for the review on the replacement 26 tooth crown gear for your Lipper RV slide out mechanism.

We got the part really fast and it was the right part. It worked exactly as was described. This is a gear for our Thor RV slide. The original gear lost half it's teeth. This gear looks and feels to be much higher quality than the original.

What Gear do I Need for My Lippert Slid-Out Measuring 2.34" with 26 Teeth?
Hello Andrew, Thank you for the picture, it is always most helpful. Yes, the Lippert # LC116658 Replacement Crown Gear is a steel gear used in Lippert through-frame RV slide-out mechanisms. It has an outer diameter of approximately 2.34 inches, a 1/2-inch center bore with a keyway, and measures about 0.5 inches thick. Looking For Slide Out Gear With 24 Teeth For A 2007 Arctic Fox Slide Out
Hello Michael. The Replacement Crown Gear # LC116658 is designed work with the more current LCI slide outs and it does have 26 teeth. Since your slide out is a 2007 model it likely uses a different gear pack, and we unfortunately do not offer anything with 24 teeth. I do not have a way to look up exactly what gears your slide out uses, so your best bet for this will be to reach out to Lippert directly to see if they offer anything with 24 teeth.

Crown Gear Replacement Instructions for RV Slide Out
I did some digging online to find instructions on how to replace the crown gear of a slide out. First you will need to remove the retaining pin from the housing at the input shaft location and slide out shaft assembly. Next remove retaining ring from housing at output shaft location and slide out shaft assembly. Remove bearing retaining ring from shaft. I wasn't able to verify the type of slide-out you have on your 2002 Monaco Dynasty Trailer, so you will want to try and verify that it is in fact manufacturered by Lippert and then simply match up the gear pack to the tubing size the room slides on.
