Today, we'll be taking a look at the Camco RV Replacement Cabinet Catches, part no. CAM44203. The Camco RV Replacement Cabinet Catches are the best replacement for your old, worn-out cabinet catches. It's a two-piece, barrel-style catch that helps keep your cabinet securely closed. It's made out of a high-density polyethylene construction, so you can ensure it's going to last a long time. The kit comes with 6, so 2 packs ought to cover your whole RV or camper. Now that we've gone over some of the specs, I'll go ahead and show you how to get it installed.
We've got 2 pieces here. We've got our plastic portion and our metal portion. The metal portion is going to go on the cabinet like this. Then, our catch is going to go on the inside of the cabinet right about here. Let's go ahead and install our plastic portion first.
We had one on here previously so our holes are already drilled, and it just so happens that they line up. If you don't have any holes, the best way to do this, is go ahead and center it up with your cabinet, that way you can ensure it's going to be closed all the way. Mark your holes and then drill it out with an eighth-inch drill bit. As I said, the holes are already here, so we're going to take our included hardware and drive that through. You're going to want that flush with the outside of the cabinet here.
Just make sure you get that done. Now, we can go ahead and take our metal portion. I'm going to clip it on the catch here. The easiest way I've found to mark it on your cabinet door, is to actually take a marker, you can use a paint marker. Just going to mark up the edge there. I'm going to grab the door.
We're going to shut it on there, and it's going to mark it for us. Then, to attach it to the cabinet door, there's a couple different ways you can do this. You can take the screw and drive it in to where the mark is, or you can drill out a little spot to just get you started. Great! That's going to complete our look and install of Camco RV Replacement Cabinet Catches, part no. CAM44203.
