RV Cabinet and Drawer Hardware for Smooth Fixes

Tackle squeaky doors, tired latches, or sticky drawers with RV cabinet and drawer hardware that fixes common issues fast. Options include hinges, door struts, catches, drawer slides, and pulls in finishes like satin nickel, silver, and antique bronze. Measure your bolt pattern and offset, choose sturdier metal over plastic where needed, and remember strut performance depends on where you mount them so doors stay put when open and closed.
Mounting position determines whether the door sits flush and how high it opens. Check the closed and open lengths and the maximum travel/stroke, like 5-1/2" closed, 6" open, and 1-1/8" stroke. Dry-fit before drilling so the strut has enough inward travel to let the door close. If instructions seem unclear, confirm bracket placement at the door and the end of the outer cylinder first.
Match key dimensions and features. Check overall length, such as 2-3/16 inches, and hole spacing like approximately 1 inch center to center. Look for details like a 1" slide channel and the proper offset for your cabinetry. If your old plastic catch broke, a metal catch can feel more secure, and using two on a larger door can improve the close.
Slides without internal bearings or rollers have enough friction to help keep drawers from sliding out on their own. They typically require a decent pull to open. If you want extra security, add a cabinet catch or latch. Install with screws rather than staples to improve durability and reduce the chance of guides loosening.
Some hinges are free-swinging and do not hold a door open. For overhead doors that open toward the ceiling, look for options designed to hold the door up or add a support strut. If two hinges don't keep a wood door fully open, adding a third hinge or a support can help.
