Updated 06/19/2025 | Published 06/15/2025 >
Question:
Hello Im inquiring about black water tank level sensor part number SE78VR, it says that this sticks on the side of the tank on the outside. My question is can this be made to stick on a polyethylene plastic storage tank? If so what product is used for its adhesion? Thank you

Hey Peter, thanks for reaching out!
The SeeLeveL Sensor for RV Holding Tank Monitor # SE78VR is designed to adhere to a plastic tank, since most RV tanks are plastic. If you want to add more of a durable hold to the sensors, then SeeLeveL recommends using the following:
3M 03584 Professional Grade Rubberized Undercoating
Gravel Guard Rocker Guard Coating By Dominion Sure Seal
Gorilla Glue Waterproof Patch & Seal Tape
Does that help some?

These items you mentioned will stick to high density polyethylene or polypropylene? I know of nothing that sticks to these plastics
