After an extensive research I decided to go with the Thule Helium 2.0. This rack is extremely light with very pleasing body structure. In addition it has a built in bike lock cable.
I received the rack 3 days after ordering from etrailer and the installation was a piece of cake.
At $379.00 is on the expensive side, however it is super light and it is not an eyesore.

I have a 15+ year old Thule hitching post bike rack with 1" tubing. One of the cradle straps broke and I've been looking for a replacement. REI couldn't help me. I looked on Amazon but found what I wanted on etrailer.com for The old cradle had an integrated strap (bad design). I bought the 853-7887 cradle and this strap. Worked great. It took a bit of elbow grease and wd-40 to wiggle it into the tubing. But it'll work just fine.
I bought these straps as they were replacements for my Thule and someone snagged my anti-sway attachment which had one of these attached and one of them was starting to get old and had a tear in it. These replacements fit as needed and do the job quite well. I am pleased with them.
I have no idea yet. I just received the package. I haven't opened it yet. I do like eTrailers and hope it works well.
About a year ago, we purchased a number of replacement parts for our Thule aluminum bike rack. They've all been great. Both anti-sway attachments and straps have held up well, and we've now driven them up and down the US East Coast several times. Very happy with both product and service, and I'd strongly recommend etrailer.com to anyone in the market for replacement parts for their Thule bike rack!

As a quick follow-up, I can confirm that - after another year of use - the replacement parts for our Thule rack continue to hold up great. I literally couldnt be more pleased with the purchase, and know that - if I do ultimately wear out any of the straps or anti-sway attachments - Ill be back for more. Thanks again etrailer.com!
Bought these with the Replacement Stay-Put Cradle for Thule Parkway and Roadway Bike Carriers to replace my Bell cradles and straps. These straps are great. They stretch just enough to make it easy to add or remove from the cradle which I do every time I use my bike rack. I remove them when I bike as they aren't attached to the cradle and I don't want them taken while on my bike ride. They secure my bike well and have stayed in great condition. Probably won't have to replace any of them unless I totally abuse them.

straps are still working great. i keep my carrier outside but in the shade and this has helped to keep the straps working like new.
I was so disappointed when my bike straps failed and panicked - - UNTIL I found ETRAILER.com and saw that I was able to replace broken parts not only affordably but expeditiously! They did a great job of getting my much needed purchases to me quickly! I will be happy to have these folks on speed-dial or in a bookmark for future assistance!
I bought a dozen replacement straps for my expensive Thule bike rack. The straps didn't last but a year, so I'll be getting more of these, no doubt. Love the bike rack, need the straps...so happy to have a source.

so far, so good. not enough riding, however!!!
We have a Bell two-bike carrier that we like but the Bell cradles rotted and crumbled to pieces after a few years. I had trouble finding any that looked well-made, but finally found the Thule brand at etrailer.com and liked the look of them. I ordered these to go with some replacement Thule cradles and am very happy with them. They are easy to use and seem to hold firmly. I think they are very high quality and recommend them to anyone needed replacement straps for the Thule cradles.

The replacement cradle straps for my Thule Helium Aero 9042 were exactly what I needed. I bought the rack 2nd hand and it was missing some straps and an anti sway cage. That meant I could only carry a single bike but I needed to carry 2 (as it was designed for). I was having trouble finding the parts until I found etrailer.com. Both the straps and the missing cage appear to be exact original parts. I’m now able to carry 2 bikes. Excellent service from the etrailer.com staff. 5 stars.
Great replacement straps for my Thule bike rack.
Every few years the straps will dry rot and tear, so I purchase the necessary amount to replace those that are torn...plus a few extra to carry as spares.
This is my fourth purchase through e-trailer...and all purchases have been very successful.

It’s been a full year since your last purchased the bicycle straps. We’ve used the bicycle rack extensively throughout Colorado, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan. They remain a great, well priced product.
So glad I ordered the replacement straps for the cradles on my Thule bike rack. I probably stretch them too tight to make sure my bicycle is secure on our bumpy dirt roads so having extras in my car in case they break solves that issue. Thanks for carrying them, etrailer!

Same as when I purchased them. Perfect! I use the bike rack constantly & the straps are holding up, especially since i’m Not stretching them to their limit.
I found the "etrailer" website easy to use. I found the parts I was looking for (replacement rubber tie-down straps for a Thule bike carrier). Price was very competitive with other website. Shipping was fast, efficient, and reasonable.

So far the thule bike straps are doing fine holding up to the weather conditions. I bought more straps due to a couple of them cracking but so far holding up well thank you.
Exceptional product. I like that the rack folds out of the way. Works well with my bikes. The only problem I have had is the rubber straps have broken on two occasions and I had to replace them. Also, they should incorporate some reflective tape on the sides and back.

etrailers replaced the part that broke rubber strap promptly and no questions asked. The product has held up well and I have had no problems. I love this bike rack. Great service.
Replaces original parts and work as expected. Delivery was prompt.
These straps are not the right ones for my Thule bike rack. I need straps with square holes that are larger than these. I might be able to make do with bungee cords and these straps. I have looked on the site and donor see the size and style that I need.

The older style straps with the square holes have been discontinued for a few years. You can use this style strap, but must also upgrade the cradles for this to be compatible. Thanks!

Bought three of these straps for my Thule Parkway TH958, because the old ones already have tears in them. One for each of the cradles for the bike's top tube, and one for the anti-sway cradle. Got them in time for the weekend!

I had to replace the Thule straps for a Vertex hitch rack since my bag of tools and accessories was stolen. The replacement of the straps that etrailer are pretty much OEM it seems, and they got them to me in a short period of time. The price was great compared to other e-tailers.

The Thule replacement parts we offer are sourced directly from Thule. Thule will update their products on an ongoing basis, so sometimes the replacement part will be the updated version and will look slightly different from the original but should still fit and work correctly.
One year Updated Review: I can't remember my first review but I do know it was positive. That said, I'm still in love with my Thule 2-Bike Rack! It has held up beautifully with me feeling relaxed knowing my bikes are secure and safe as I transport them to and fro! Within the next two years, I will be in the market for a new vehicle and as such, I'm thinking about the type vehicle and all the 'accessories' I will expect. One of my 'must haves' WILL be another Thule Bike rack similar to what I purchased prior in order to accommodate my new vehicle! I will NOT consider any other product and I'm so grateful a friend recommended I look into Thule for my first purchase of bike racks! It may seem silly, but I observe ALL cars passing me on the streets that have bike racks...... I think to myself, 'mine is BETTER than theirs'!!! Lol.
Great replacement for the original Thule straps, which wore out after about ten years. These seem to be thicker and more durable, so we are very happy with them!!

After using these straps for a year, we are still extremely pleased with them! They are still strong, and are holding up to the sun and weather perfectly!! A great choice!
So happy to have the product shipped so quickly and that I was able to replace my straps and go for a bike ride. The straps work great and glad to have found a sight with a great price for them .
