Question:

I want to replace the Sweet Spot Cradles discontinued for an older Thule hitch-mounted bike rack from 2004, I think likely a Hitching Post Pro the arms are 1inch diameter. I want to get anti sway carriages as well. Replacing the cradles and straps with newer Thule parts really adds up to quite a bit almost enough to justify buying a new bike rack. What other manufacturers foot cradle systems would fit the arms on my Thule? I noticed the Swagman makes a set of 8 anti-sway cradles... Would these work? Can you suggest others?

The Replacement Cradle # RG8890084 will also fit a 1" diameter bar. It is designed for Rhode Gear bike racks as a replacement.

The Swagman Replacement Anti-Sway Cradles # SP499 that you found are designed for a 1-1/8" bar. They would not fit onto your Thule rack with the 1" bars.

The Replacement Stay-Put Cradle # 853-7887, Replacement Strap # 852-3006-001 and Replacement Anti-Sway Cage # 853-7758 will be the best fit and function for your Thule Rack.
