Hi, there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com.Today we're going to take a quick look at the replacement idler head and roll tube for your Solera RV slide-out. This is going to replace the idler head and roll tube for that Solera RV slide-out awning.It is a Lippert Components product, so it's going to be the exact same as your original. You're not going to have to worry about fit issues or anything like that. It's going to be the same quality, same fit as the original because it is made by the same company.You can see it is a black color, so it's going to blend in well with that slide-out awning that you already have. And it is made here in the USA, so you can trust that it's made to the same high-quality standards that we've come to know and trust for products that are made here in the US.Now keep in mind, this is spring-loaded, obviously, so you do want to be careful when you're removing the old one and installing this one.
It's possible that it could be under some pressure. So you want to make sure that you're supporting it so that you don't potentially get injured while you're dealing with this.But like I said, because this is a Lippert product, if you're needing a idler head and roll tube for your Solera RV slide-out awning, this is going to be the piece that you need.That's going to complete our look. The Left side head roll bar #LC87FR fit my 2014 Itasca Sunstar fine. I would have rated it a 5 based in it's construction but since it did not come with rivets to connect the roll bar set up to the bracket that mounts to the rv and instructions on how many turns to preload the spring I rated it a 4. On a good note it fixed the slide problem.

Replacement part seems to be just as good as factory. Installation was fairly straight forward.
Fits perfect. Installed in less than 10 mins.

Exact replacement for my slide topper. No instructions included, and the sales rep didn’t have any but he did send me the Lippert support phone number. They walked me thru the Lippert site (lci1.com), where I found some info. Also found the same item a little bit cheaper! If you need a slide topper drive or idler arm, look at lci1.com first!
Excellent product. It was more than i needed since it included the spring and cap. I would like to be able to purchase each component separately

Service rep was on point. He was friendly and very knowledgeable. We had called our local RV service center and got the run around. They said we needed to actually bring in our RV before they could tell us which idler head we needed. The etrailer rep was able to look up the item , with the same info, in less than a minute. This is the exact item that I wanted and the only vendor that carried it!!
I paid extra to get it faster and didn’t come any faster. Order was processed on a Sunday, sat until Wednesday when it was finally boxed and arrived Friday.
When I emailed them about the status and to see if I could get my money back for shipping, this is the response I got…
“Due to current circumstances we are experiencing delays in shipping out your order. I apologize for the delay in shipping your order. Right now, we have an influx of orders and are short on manpower. We are doing everything we can to get more people to help us ship our orders. This is not how we normally operate.”
That’s not my problem. Don’t say an item will arrive on your site when you can’t. Didn’t get my shipping money back.
This is my second time ordering these parts (these are for a different set of slide toppers). They work great. They are easy to swap out for the old ones.

Great customer service by Martha O when called in to ask questions on the part that I needed for our RV before ordering and got the answer needed to place order. Was told if I ordered on the phone it would speed up order and package arrived sooner than what I was told. Got what I needed and was as advertised and fit as told. Awning arrived damaged. That may be the sellers fault or it could have been damaged by the shipper. Now 4-1/2 stars
etrailer sent out a new replacement part that arrived quickly. Back at 5-stars.
Unfortunately there was no instructions in the package regarding how to safely change this spring loaded part. After contacting etrailer requesting info on how to change the part, they had no clue. I was told to contact Lippert. Remove 2-stars.
Final Rating of 3 Average stars. Nothing special about etrailer. They did not go above and beyond average…but could have by sending or at least having detailed information regarding how to safely replace this spring loaded part.
This was a perfect fit and the installation was fairly easy.

We were able to replace the Idler Arm without too much trouble, but thankful that we saved the old screws, as new screws were included for the endcap.
Tim was very helpful with this order and I was very happy with the time it took to receive my order.

Just got through making the review of same product for the opposite side of topper, same thing. Nice and smooth and quiet while opening and closing slides.
