Keep Your Vehicle and Cargo Safe: Comprehensive Support Structure

With a sturdy round-tube design, this trailer hitch provides not only a stylish appearance but also a structurally sound component to safely distribute the leverage and weight of your loaded accessory. When used with a stabilization strap, as per warranty requirements, you ensure even greater reliability for non-trailer loads.

Product was great and what I expected. I unpackaged and installed myself with no difficulty wihin 30 minutes. I saved over $250 from what was quoted to me to have a local area order and install..

Toyota Prius

This was SO easy... my Toyota Dealership didn't Charge me a PENNY to install it !

They had the Prius in for a 10k mile check up/oil change/tire rotation, etc...
So the car was already up in the air.

by:

My hitch went on exactly as described. The instructions were very clear. I was disappointed that the hitch arrived with a scratch in the paint, but that was easily fixed with some black paint.

Etrailer was awesome. Their customer service was fast and communication was amazing.

Perfect fit, excellent workmanship, very easy to read instructions. You couldn't ask for more! Great company to do business with, fast shipping and fantastic communication throughout!

Fantastic hitch for my PriusI needed to pull a small trailer with 2 electric wheelchairs on it. It works great. I can go where I want and take my chair with me and at times I take my Mom's chair. It works great. I love my Prius and this hitch made it possible for me to keep driving my Prius and still take my Jazzy wheelchair with me. Thank you etrailer.

2012 Toyota Prius

Recieved our new Curt hitch two days after placing the order. I was able to mount the hitch on our 2012 Prius III without jacking it up, or putting it on a set of ramps with no problem. I had it installed in about 20 minutes. The quality of this Curt hitch is top notch. For those that wonder if mounting a hitch on their prius will degrade mpg, even with nothing attached to it, we just got done with a 350 mile highway trip, and still got 51 mpg. I plan on using it to haul our bikes, on our Swagman XTC 2, also purchased from Etrailer. Great product! VERY happy with this purchase! Thanks E-trailer!

2011 Toyota Prius

It took over 2 hours for install for 2 reasons. First, the tools would not fit around the exhaust system and in the access slot. 3/4 drive equipment was too bulky. Second reason, an Important issue, the heat shield on my 2011 prius extends further aft than the video and to fit the rightside bracket correctly, the bracket must be sandwiched between the shield and the frame. It took alot of time bending the shield to get the bracket installed. The video is wrong, they just clamp on top of the shield and squeeze it against the frame. You don't want heat to transfer to the vehicle because the 12-volt battery is located in that area.

by:

this trailer hitch is great, it was very easy to put in my prius and looks great too , i am really enjoying the use if it fir my bike platform rack hitch.

by:
2017 Toyota Prius v

Excellent product, clear instructions, easy installation. Good price and fast shipping - only kick is that there is some interference with the muffler's heat shield - more aggravating than a real problem

Great customer service and very timely delivery. Clean and easy installation.

2013 Toyota Prius

Love it! This trailer hitch allows an upright bike rack to attach, with the addition of an adapter, to our hatchback style Prius. It is much sturdier than our old bike rack that leaned against the hatch window. The trailer hitch/bike rack combo allows us to get into the hatch without removing the rack. We travelled across Florida and back, 300 miles, with no problems. Your website was very helpful in determining the proper hitch and installation was easy. Thank you for a great product at a good price.

Still great! Thanks for following up. Not many companies do that. Great customer service.

I bought this hitch after watching the online videos by etrailer detailing the installation. They make it look a lot easier to install than my experience, but i was not using a lift and had never done it before. The price on this hitch was very good and it was shipped very quickly. It beat the tools that I ordered from another online retailer to do the install, in fact. The packaging was good as well, and protected the hitch. I included a picture of my installation, which admittedly does not show very much, but its a win for me. The hardest part of installation was dealing with the exhaust bracket. I plan on purchasing a bike rack and a cargo rack in the near future, maybe even a small trailer.

After a year there has been absolutely no problems with the hitch. My plans of cargo racks and trailers were derailed due to the crazy year 2020, but I did purchase an Allen Sports 2-Bike Hitch Rack. The hitch holds the very heavy bike rack heavier loaded very securely with little to no wobble just using the locking hitch pin I also bought. I have no complaints about the hitch.

2010 Toyota Prius

I installed it in 15 minutes with good video and instructions that are provided. Mounting tabs lined up perfectly to OEM holes using their upgraded bolts and washers.
Received it in 3 days after they sent me shipping confirmation and tracking number.
They should tape foam on the mounting tabs to prevent damage and puncturing through the box.
I like how it tucks up and hardly noticeable.

I purchase two different products and installed both, back to back. I did not use a jack or a lift, so it took about 45 minutes to finesse this one into/onto my Toyota Prius. I needed a helper (wife) which made it much easier. This is for a bike rack. Ordered Friday and delivered Monday, fast, fast. Thank you.

Super easy to install and did it in about 45 mins without lifting the vehicle. Don't recommend that but show's you how simple both the hitch design and the Prius (2015) design is. Instructions provided is simple to follow and video links on the website helped.

Toyota Prius

We were limited to a 1-1/4" hitch on our Prius, and I was a little wary of hanging two heavy electric bikes on it on a Thule hitch. But having had it for a year, including a trip up the Colorado Rockies and lots of bumps on various roads, we have had no problem at all. Solid.

by:

After using this custom fit trailer hitch reciever for one year, I am loving it! It was easy to install and it has done exactly what I needed it to do and more! I also bought my vehicle specific trailer light wiring harness which was easy to install as well and continues to work great! I would definitely recommend both of these products!

by:

The hitch is great. Super strong and it has never loosened or worried me driving with a loaded bike rack on many miles of dirt and gravel roads. Highly recommend upgrading to a hitch if you were previously using a clip-on roof rack like me to carry bikes, which can be shaken loose on rough roads or high winds. Installation was straight forward after you find the right bolts to take out.

  • e-Bike Hitch Rack Recommendation for a 2013 Toyota Prius v
Hey Becky, thanks for reaching out! The 2" Curt Rack Receiver # C92NR that you purchased unfortunately isn't a fit for your 2013 Toyota Prius v (it fits a 2023 - 2024 Toyota BZ4X OR 2023 - 2024 Subaru Solterra) but if you really want that 2" hitch receiver you'll need to go with the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7192. This sits about 13-3/4" from ground to the top inside of the receiver so with the rise of the Yakima OnRamp Y36FR I'm confident you'll be just fine on clearance....

  • Recommended Trailer Hitches For 2015 Toyota Prius Plug-In And 2013 Toyota Prius
We have one trailer hitch that is designed to work with the 2015 Toyota Prius Plug-In Hybrid. That trailer hitch is the Curt Hitch, part # C11276. This is a Class l hitch and it has a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening. All non-trailer loads - bike racks, cargo carriers and so forth - should be supported with stabilizing straps, like part # 18050. Failure to properly support these loads will void your hitch warranty from Curt. The Draw-Tite hitch, part # 60263 is designed to fit the Prius and...

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2014 Toyota Prius Plug-In Hybrid
The Curt hitch part # C11276 that you referenced is a confirmed fit for your 2014 Toyota Prius Plug In and would do a great job to carry a bike rack. The only other solution I might recommend instead for your vehicle is the Draw Tite part # 24967 since only the hitch opening hangs below the rear bumper which gives a more concealed look and also gives better ground clearance. While we don't carry the Allen bike rack you mentioned it's not a terrible choice. For a similar priced bike rack...

  • What Bike Rack do You Recommend for 2 60-Pound E-Bikes on My 2011 Toyota Prius Hatchback?
I have a great way to transport your 2 e-bikes that weigh about 60 pounds each. However, the Yakima FullBack 2 # Y02634 and all other trunk bike racks do not have the required weight capacity that you need to safely transport your bikes on your 2011 Toyota Prius hatchback. With that being said, exceeding the 35-pound weight capacity of the FullBack is extremely dangerous. For the doable route, I recommend using a hitch-mounted bike rack. A great rack that provides you with the capacity...

Yes, the Swagman XTC2 part # S64670 that you referenced is a confirmed fit for Class I hitches like the Curt # C11276 that you have installed on your 2010 Toyota Prius. I attached a review video for the bike rack on a similar Prius as yours as well. Curt requires the use of their stabilizer strap part # 18050 when using their hitch to carry a non-supported load like a bike rack. I attached a review video for you to check for the strap as well.

  • Can I Use A 2" Hitch Acessory With The Curt C11276 Hitch On A 2015 Toyota Prius?
Hello Duco. The best course of action really depends on what you intend to do with the hitch. If you plan to tow a small trailer, you can simply buy a ball mount that is compatible with the 1-1/4" hitch. If you have a bike rack that goes with a 2" hitch, things get a bit more tricky. There are adapters like the # HTAD which will convert any 1-1/4" receiver to a 2" receiver. The only downside is that using an adapter like this will decrease the tongue weight capacity of your hitch my 50%....

For a 1-1/4 inch Class I hitch with a concealed crossbar like the Class III EcoHitch # 306-X7192 you'd looked at, I'd recommend the Draw-Tite # 24967. As you can see from the provided photo, the only portion of the hitch visible from the rear is the receiver tube and the safety chain loops. The remained of the hitch is concealed behind the rear bumper and fascia. The Curt # C11276 is designed to fit all trim levels and or options for the Toyota Prius in the 2011 model year. From what you are describing, I believe the hitch is just flexed out of alignment a little bit. Hitch manufacturers design the frame attachment arms with mild steel so that they can flex. For example, the EcoHitch, part # 306-X7192, is the best option if you're going to be using the hitch to carry a cargo carrier or bike rack because the hitch pin hole sits closer to the rear bumper so whatever is in the hitch has a higher chance of clearing the bumper.
