Question:

Im looking for a replacement slide topper for my 2018 Jayco Precept Motor-home. The old unit the fabric rotted and tore lose. Everything rolled up in the cover and the spring came lose inside the tube. When I took it apart to see what happen I saw the spring disconnected from one side. So I amusing I will need a new spring loaded tube and fabric to repair my slide topper. I would be grateful for any help with this matter. Thanks Tim

Jayco tends to use Dometic A&E awnings so you'd most likely have to purchase an entirely new slide topper since we currently only offer Solera branded components. I haven't gotten to work on Dometic awnings so I can't say if it's the same but Solera awning springs can be reset inside of the roller tube to get the tension back. Yours sounds like it might be a bit more broken than just re-tensioning the spring though so you'd like need to replace the arm(s).

If you have a Solera model then you could use part # LC87FR for the left side and # LC34FR for the right. Cut to fit replacement fabric for the awning can be purchased through Lippert and would be compatible with either brand. They have a variety of colors too so you would be able to match your motorhome's colors.

If you need to completely replace the awning then I'll just need to know the width of the slide out from outside edge of the flange to outside edge of the other flange.
