Hitch covers are fun to show off and they look cool, but they do more than just accessorize your vehicle. Your unique United States Air Force hitch cover helps to keep dirt out of the receiver and deters rust, so you can easily install ball mounts and other hitch accessories when you need them. This hitch cover is a great way to protect your receiver and express yourself, all in one.

Today, we're going to be taking a look at this US Air Force 2-inch hitch cover from AMG. The hitch cover's going to allow you to display the official symbol of the United States Air Force. It's also going to help add a clean, finished look to your vehicle, and it's going to keep dirt and grime out of your hitch. Now, the hitch cover's going to be made from a steel construction. It's going to feature a really nice black powder-coat finish for rust and corrosion protection. Here on the front face, we're going to have a chrome-plated metal emblem.
It's going to feature a rust-proof and fade-proof design, and it is American-made. On the back side, we're going to have a foam gasket. This is going to help reduce rattle in between the hitch and the hitch cover. Again, this is an officially-licensed product. The hitch cover does require a hitch pin and clip or a hitch pin and lock for a complete installation to the hitch. Those items are sold separately.
If you are in need of one, you can find them right here at etrailer.com. The pin hole on this hitch cover will accept a standard 5/8-inch diameter pin. I'm going to go over a few measurements real quick starting with the hitch cover face. The overall width is about 5 inches. The overall height, it's going to be about 3-1/2 inches. The distance that we have from the back of that foam pad to the center of the hitch pin hole looks to be around 2-1/2 inches, and again, this is designed for a 2-inch by 2-inch trailer hitch.
A very simple installation. This portion here slides into the receiver tube opening. Push it until your pin holes line up with one another, and then install the hitch pin and clip or hitch pin and lock to secure it to the hitch. That's going to do it for today's look at the US Air Force 2-inch hitch cover from AMG.
