Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Bulletproof Hitches anti-rattle clamp for a 2 1/2-inch hitch. Now, this anti-rattle device will provide quieter towing and a more stable hitch connection. Basically, it'll prevent rattle and sway inside your hitch receiver. It is designed to work with ball mounts, tow bars, and even hitch-mounted accessories, such as bike racks and cargo carriers.

It's a very fast, easy installation. All you have to do is slip this clamp over your ball mount or accessory shank with this curved in right here with the bolt in it pointing to underneath the vehicle. And then once that's on, you insert your shank into the hitch receiver, and then you'll tighten this 3/4-inch fine thread bolt up to up against underneath your hitch receiver. Once it's snug down, then you'll tighten this jam nut down to prohibit movement inside your receiver. This is made of a 1/2-inch thick pressed break steel construction It has a nice black powder coat finish on it to resist corrosion.

Again, the application, it's designed to fit 2 1/2-inch by 2 1/2-inch hitch receivers. Now, the maximum bolt torque specification for the bolt down here is 40 foot-pounds. One note I do wanna mention, this anti-rattle clamp is not compatible with reducing sleeves or weight-distribution systems.
