If your hitch height is off, your rack can sit at the wrong angle or too close to your vehicle. This adapter corrects the height and moves the rack outward, so it fits correctly and feels solid on the road.
If your rack sits too low, it can scrape on driveways or make loading bikes feel awkward and frustrating. Too high, and it can affect access and positioning. This adapter gives you 2-1/8" of rise or drop so you can level it at the hitch. It also moves the hitch position out 7-1/4", creating space for spare tires, bumpers, or tailgates so your setup fits without interference.
A loose hitch setup can shift while driving. The integrated wedge system tightens inside the receiver using a hex tool, helping reduce movement and keep the connection more secure.
The included HitchLock secures the adapter to your vehicle without needing a separate lock. The fixed design provides both height adjustment and added reach in one piece. Install it in the needed position and you're ready to go.

Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Yakima FlipFlop high-low adapter for your two inch trailer hitch receiver. This hitch adapter is going to be a simple way to improve the fit and stability of your hitch mounted setup, especially if your rack doesn't sit quite right on your vehicle. This is going to give you two key adjustments in one piece. You're gonna be able to raise or lower your rack by about 2 1/8 inches to help level everything out.
And it's also going to extend the rack out about an additional 7 1/4 inches for extra clearance. That extra clearance is gonna be especially helpful on vehicles with rear mounted spare tires, large bumpers, or tailgates that would otherwise interfere with a bike rack or cargo carrier. So by moving the rack further away from your vehicle, that's gonna create the space needed for everything to fit and operate the way that it should. This is also designed to make the setup feel more secure on the road. Inside of the adapter, there is a wedge system that's going to tighten against the inside of your two inch trailer hitch receiver using a hex tool.
That's gonna create a snug connection that's gonna help reduce rattling, shaking, and movement while driving. So this is pretty ingenious actually. The pin here that you're gonna use to secure this to your trailer hitch receiver is also that hex tool. So I'm gonna take one of the keys here and unlock this and then take the pin out. And as you can see, you can use either end here to tighten down that wedge system right here.
So you stick that in and you just crank that. And then let me come around the other side here just so you can see the movement here. So you can see that moving. So you're gonna use this tool to tighten that, to get that rattling, that shaking out of your trailer hitch receiver. Just crank that down as much as you need to.
And then when you're done, you'll just slide that tool in. This does come with this hitch lock here, which is a nice addition. So you're gonna be able to lock this to your vehicle. So I'm just gonna slide this on, lock it with one of the included keys, and then just extra protection with this safety clip here, just like that. So I'm pretty impressed with the thought here behind all of that. Everything is gonna be less parts to deal with, I guess you could put it that way. Giving you some measurements here, lemme find my tape measure. Overall length pretty close to, almost 15 1/2 inches. And then the width here at the widest point, about 2 1/2 inches or so. Then the height, about 4 1/2 inches. Instructions are also included to guide you through the very simple setup and installation. And I think that's gonna wrap up our look today. Again, my name's Andy. Thank you for joining me.
