I am purchasing a 2022 Hyundai Elantra SEL. I need to get a trailer hitch installed for carrying a bike rack. Will the one designed for the 2021 model fit? When will a model for the 2022 Elantra be available? Thanks

We actually have a great hitch that works for your 2022 Hyundai Elantra SEL! For that hitch, I recommend the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver - Class I - 1-1/4" # DT75MR. Not only does this hitch provide you with 200 pounds of maximum tongue weight capacity and 2,000 pounds of maximum gross towing capacity, it also includes a straightforward, bolt-on installation that only takes about 50 minutes to complete. It is important to note that this hitch does not fit hybrid or N Line models of 2022 Elantras. Unfortunately, we do not currently have a hitch that fits these models.
As with all hitch receivers, I recommend consulting with your vehicle's owner's manual to make sure your vehicle can handle the weight you wish to transport.
If you need a bike rack recommendation, a great option is the Saris Freedom Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches # SA4412B or the fat bike version # SA4412B-FB. The Freedom comes with an impressive 60 pounds per-bike capacity and does not require any bike frame adapter if you plan on transporting women's bikes, children's bikes, or step thru bikes. It also has the advantage of an 8 inch shank rise for additional ground clearance. This helps prevent scraping or bottoming out. For theft-deterrence for the bikes and the rack, I recommend using the Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock # SA3022 along with the etrailer Cable Lock # e98891.
