The Sport Rider Special Edition platform-style hitch bike rack makes it simple to carry 2 electric bikes on the rear of your vehicle. This bolstered steel rack is easy to use, and it features locking frame hooks and heavy-duty wheel holders with welded gussets to reinforce the rack so that it can handle the extra weight of your electric bikes. A locking hitch pin with an anti-rattle system tightens the rack's shank to your hitch receiver to prevent it from rattling around inside the receiver.

Locking, Ratcheting Hooks

1450E hooks

Constructed of rugged steel with a sleek black powder coat finish, the Sport Rider SE2 uses locking frame hooks to secure your bikes. The ratcheting hooks are easily adjusted along the vertical mast and lock securely in place. The push buttons allow the hooks to slide up the ratcheting system to allow for bike removal. The lock cores keep the hooks from being moved up or down on the mast to deter theft. The hooks are different sizes and each one functions independently, meaning the rack can carry two bikes of the same or different heights.

Adjustable Wheel Holders

1450E Wheel Holders

The wheel holders accommodate bicycles with wheelbases up to 58 inches, and you can adjust the wheel hoops by sliding them along the horizontal arms. They are secured in place with hand knobs. Velcro-like hook-and-loop straps secure your bike's wheels to the holders.

Folding, Tilting Design

The rack tilts, with or without bikes loaded, for easy access to your vehicle's rear cargo area. Simply remove the pivot pin, pull the bottom quick-release spring pin, and lower the rack.

The rack also folds up against the back of your vehicle when it's not in use. To raise the rack, just pull the upper quick-release spring pin and lift.

Easy Installation with Locking Hitch Pin

The Sport Rider SE easily installs in your hitch with the included locking hitch pin. Just slide the shank into your receiver and insert the hitch pin. The frame hook locks and the hitch lock are conveniently keyed alike.

1450E Anti-Wobble

An integrated anti-wobble handle on the front of the base unit tightens the rack's shank to your hitch receiver to prevent it from rattling around inside the receiver. You don't need to pull out a wrench every time you install the rack on your hitch - just turn the easy-to-access handle to keep the rack from rattling. A second lever secures the two-bike extension to the base of the rack.

The included 8' long cable attaches to the hitch pin to help secure the bikes to Sport Rider rack

Add-On Wheel Hoop Adapters for Kid's Bikes

 Hollywood Racks Wheel Hoop Adapters

If you want to use the rack to transport a kid's bike with 16" or 18" wheels, wheel hoop adapters (HRSW-ADP-2 - sold separately) are available.

Video Transcript for Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE2 Bike Rack Review

Randy: Hey, guys. Randy here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at a rack from Hollywood Racks. This is their Sport Rider SE2. Essentially, what we're going to have here is going to be a two-bike, platform-style rack, designed for use with electric bikes, so it has that higher capacity to support them, and it's also rated for use on RVs and motorhomes. So, that kind of takes care of both of those areas. Now, we have a frame hook to hold our bike here on the top, and as you can see, it's going to work out fine whether you're using an Ebike or a standard bike with wheel bases up to 60".

Then each of our wheel . got the wheel hoops that come down, and the hook and loop strap just to help give it a little bit more security there. Now, that 60" wheel base comes from the fully adjustable cradles. You can see the knob right there on each one of our cradles. We can move those in and out as we need to accommodate all different varieties of bike. Now, the cradles themselves have been designed to work with a tire up to 3" wide.

This one's on our Ebike happens to be a 2.10, so 210. So, you can imagine, got plenty of room there for that additional tire width. And you can see they sit down in quite nicely, so we get a lot of support forward and back as well.A really nice feature on this rack that we don't often see on other RV-approved bike racks is its ability to tilt away from your vehicle even with your bike loaded. That can buy you some extra space. You see, there's a pin and clip here.

Pull that. You might have to lift up slightly to get our pin removed. Then by lifting our pin right here, or pulling out on our pin, you can see we're able to tilt that away. Now, as you do this, you are going to be supporting the weight of the bikes, so be sure you have a hold of it. Then at that point, it's either going to allow you full access or extra access to get into the rear of your vehicle.

You can see this one's pretty close here. Doesn't quite make contact with the back hatch, but full unobstructed access to get in and out. Now, to get it back to the transport position, we'll just need to lift up. That pin's going to automatically click in. Then we need to replace that manual pin and clip. They've also added some really nice security to the rack. Each of the hooks that come down over our frame are going to be keyed, so once we have it down in the correct position, we'll turn that to the lock position, and then we can't press that button. So, we can't release that. Also, you'll notice the cable. You can run that through the frames on your bike, and it's going to connect right down to your hitch pin behind the lock. So, we have the rack locked to our vehicle, and we have the bikes also locked to that pin, and locked with our hook, so overall, it's a really nice and secure way to transport your bikes. Here on the back, we also have a plastic reflector, instead of just being a piece of tape or something like that, actually, a cap that's going to go on there. Most people approach from behind. That's going to shine, indicating to them you have something attached on the rear. Now, to get that high capacity, they use a different design on their wheel hoops here. While they come around, just like most standard wheel hoops, they pass all the way through the connecting rod here. That gives it excellent strength and, of course, durability. Now, this rack should work out with most vehicle configurations, but just to ensure, the measurement from the center of our hitch pin hole to the closest point here, it's going to be about 10-1/2". Another measurement you might be concerned with is the overall length with it extended. From the center of that hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of our cradles here, which is our furthest point, is going to be about 29-1/2".Now, this will fold up into a much more compact design. Basically, we need to remove the pin here. You can see that little key way, so you have to turn it the right way for it to come out. Fold our mast into the stored position, then we can reinsert the pin. Now, with a lot of platform-style racks, this joint right here can sometimes make some noise. They've actually put a nice plastic bushing around that so we don't have metal on metal contact. Same can be said for our forward pivot point here. But if I pull on the same pin we pulled earlier, that's going to allow us to rotate our rack into the stored position. You can see at this point that pin goes in and holds it. You can see that's a lot more compact. So, in this position, even with our anti-rattle handle, really adding about 17-3/4".Now, the overall feel of the rack is nice. You can tell it has a nice, thick powder-coat finish on there. I think that should be a very resilient finish, and you really shouldn't run into any issues with corrosion. Now, to get the rack installed, we're going to place the shank into our receiver tube opening. We're going to slide this all the way in so that this plate makes contact with our hitch. At that point, we're going to slide our pin through. As we do that, it's going to engage our anti-rattle device. That's here on the back. You can see the movement in that rack right now. As we tighten this up, continue to kind of move it and shake it. Once we get that up, you can see all that play is going to be gone. Now, that does grab a hold of your pin. That's what holds it in place. You can put your lock on this side, but remember you've got that cable to go around your bikes that it first needs to slide on before you throw the lock on.Then to get it back out of this position, just going to pull that one single pin, bring it down till our other pin engages. Then we'll pull our pin out of that mast, and bring it into its upright position. At that point, just undo your hook and loop, raise your wheel hooks up to the top there. At that point, you're going to be ready to load up your bike. Now, to load up our bike, we're always going to start with the closest set of wheel cradles. If you're loading up multiple bikes, keep your heaviest bike closest to your vehicle to reduce the leverage. Now, we're just going to lift it up. We're going to place it into those cradles. Now, they say you can pull these hooks off of here, if you want to, if it'll make it easier. It's just a Phillips screw right here. Generally, you can work it in behind it. I wouldn't want to take it out and put it in every time, so if you did have to do that, maybe just leave that screw out. We're going to bring the hook down. We want it to make contact with the bike, but we don't want it to be overly tight. That's probably a little bit too loose. Basically, if we put too much downward force on these hooks, they bind up and it's really hard to get them to release. So, that's something you need to keep in mind. Then on each of our wheels, just want to bring that hook and loop around to just give us a little bit of backup. That top hook does a good job of keeping them down and in the cradles. Now, Hollywood Racks does recommend, it's not a requirement, but they recommend that you remove your battery. It's more to prevent people from stealing it. Something to keep in mind. In our case, our battery locks onto the bike. It's not as big of a concern. Before we wrap the video up, we've got some really good footage of the rack fully loaded out on our test course. Take a look at it. It's going to give you an excellent idea of how the rack will hold your bikes and perform on the back of your vehicle. Here on our test course, we'll start by going through the slalom. This is going to show us the side-to-side action. This simulates turning corners or evasively maneuvering.Once we get to the alternating speed bumps, we'll see the twisting action. This will simulate hitting a curb or a pothole, or driving over uneven pavement.Once we get to the full speed bumps, we'll see the up and down action. This will be just like driving in and out of a parking lot, parking garage, or driveway.

Simple and strong... I waited too long to buy this item. Real necessity if you are going to try and be active with an electric bike. The best way transport 2 heavy electric bikes. I was sent 2 of the same sides of the fat bike conversion kit. I am waiting to get the correct left hand side to complete my experience. 667604

We installed our E bike rack very quickly using the direction sheet included. All the parts were easy to locate and connect. The hardest part was figuring out which bike would fit best first on, but once that was figured out, it is so easy to load and secure the bikes. We have had two other bike rack systems over the years and this product overall deserves a five star rating! 664469

This is a great sturdy rack. It performs well and comes with all necessary accessories. My bikes clear the tailgate when leaned out and they are easier to load when leaned out. The small pin inserted below the lean-out option seems like and after-thought and sometimes is a bit difficult to pull out without taking the pressure off it. It should be incorporated into the main release pins, which work easily. The rack is a bit heavy to lift ~50 pounds to insert into your hitch, but likely needs to be that heavy in order to be strong enough to hold electric bikes. I would have given it 5 stars if the "after-thought" lower pin was not needed or was easier to install. I would buy this rack again. The bikes feel secure while transporting them. errailer is an excellent web site to order from. Their prices are good and they offer a tremendous amount of information about the rack and how it performs. Way better than [on-line retailer] for buying a reck. 678150

Prompt shipping, knowledgeable staff, good prices... Choose the Hollywood HR1450Z-E because I have a 2" hitch and wanted something sturdy for my e-bike. Also purchased the Hollywood rack valet which makes it easier to put on / off the vehicle. Rack seems very well made & secure on my 2011 CX-7. 677349

Shipped on time by etrailer, setup was easy and was installed in less than an hour. Drove from Quartzsite, AZ to Benson AZ, with two 70 pound (EACH!) electric bikes. I had the rear camera on and watching. No shaking or shifting. One of the ebikes was a woman's bike. I reversed the position of the frame hooks so the shorter of the 2 ebikes hooked to the low frame on the the woman's bike. Worked perfectly! Overall, an excellent experience. 612722

Unlike other product descriptions and instructions, etrailer.com's instructions were clear and well illustrated. I was easily able to follow the instructions and assemble the bike rack in less than an hour. I was most pleased with the customer support offered by etrailer.com. I was unsure of the best bike rack for my needs (an ebike) so I called the support number and had a well informed representative guide me to the "best fit" rack for my car and bikes. It makes such a difference to get it right the first time and having someone to talk to makes all the difference. 646975

This is a "formidable" bike rack. Well constructed and not a light weight. Easily assembled. We are transporting two E-Bikes ...one of which is a step thru model. We purchased a Swagman Bar Adapter and it allows the upright support on the rack to hold the bike securely in place. I recommend this rack. 691148

This is an outstanding product. I have owned several top brands however, this is my first 'Hollywood' rack. I would the quality, price point and value, fit / finish, and attention to detail superior to similar products. As others have noted, it is heavy but the engineering and duty of this product necessitate the related weight. Do not hesitate to purchase this rack, even if it is your first Hollywood product as you will be pleased with the quality and performance. Thank you for reading. 671092

Arrived as promised. Very well built for our RadCity powerbikes! They weigh more than regular bikes and rack is designed for extra weight. Comes with the cable and hitch lock, that was a nice extra. Rack is on the heavy side 55-60lbs. Packaging for shipment was excellent. I thought price was high, but now I see the extra quality is there. Online videos are very good and helpful. 654000

This is very well engineered. Lots of thought put into design. No wobble. We have an ebike & regular bike. We take the battery off the ebike when we transport the bikes. The rack folds up against the SUV when not in use. Very happy with this rack. 565795

Owned my Hollywood bike rack for a year now and hands down this is one solid unit.--has many adjustments for small and large bicycles .---The easy on and off clamps are failsafe.---The fold-up locking pins are a cinch while folding the rack into a smaller footprint.---- The included bike and hitch locks are a real plus and the built in hitch clamp removes 100% of rack sway. Overall a high quality rack for a real fair price.----Gordon Lehman 576997

I received my Hollywood rack in good order. I live in Canada so having to return anything is a real hassle. I like dealing with etrailer because they do their own research on product quality and don't try to sell anything that won't work for me. I narrowed my search down to two racks and I chose the Hollywood for my 60# fat tire electric bike with 20" wheels. Once I cranked the handle, there was absolutely no wobble whatsoever.I mounted it onto my Kia Sorento with the Curt class III 2" hitch.(Also purchased from etrailer.) 633381

Just purchased a Hollywood Sport Rider SE-2 From etrailer.com. Am quite pleased with the quality of the product , the easy assembly, and installation. Plan to use it to carry 2 bikes from home to wherever, did not want to carry in the bed of my pickup as did not want to damage bikes or truck bed. I am old guy and have no problem loading bikes by myself. And another plus is locking hitch and also locking cable for bikes. So easy, safe, and secure makes this product a great choice. Another great choice would be etrailor.com , The ease of navigating this site, ordering process helpful and caring staff is why I will order from this site again. Thanks etrailer.com 130476

This product met my expectations. It is extremely well engineered, high quality and very easy to assemble. I like the simple design and that it is very solid when attached to the car thanks to the 2" hitch. This was the one thing I was concerned most about but not any more it is a solid attachment. It is very easy to load bikes and lock down boys and girl frames no problem also like the way it folds up into a compact package which is easy to Cary and store. This will really make transporting our bikes from place to place a whole lot easier . If you are looking for a sturdy bike carrier this is the one to buy. Maybe a little pricey but once you get it installed and use it you will forget about what it cost. 186310

This bike rack is fantastic very good quality and exceeds my expectations. Only one slight flaw, the fabric tie downs for the wheels are poor quality, I had to call the company for 3 replacements which the company replaced very quickly for me at no cost, however the new straps could still be of better quality. Still a great product and Co. To deal with, I would buy another one if I had to.

I did a lot of research looking for the right bike rack that would hold 2 e bikes securely. The bikes have fenders, so a lot of the other brands wouldn't work where the hook grabs the front tire. This rack is great. Well built, solid and easily holds our 2 e bikes. Great features on the rack as well, tilt and no wobble, along with the locks and cable. Instructions were good and an easy project to put the rack together. Rack was shipped in a good protective box and arrived on time. 495795

We have two oversized heavy comfort e-bikes that need a stronger rack. The etrailer product fit the bill perfectly. It fit great on our 2011 GMC Terrain and works a treat. I'm not a mechanical guy, but even I was able to read the instructions, watch the youtube videos, and install the rack with a torque wrench as per specs. We have had some nice trips with our bikes. Our bikes were made by Day 6, and the owner of the company personally recommended your product. Thanks for the quality item. 252860

Received the hitch very quickly. Everything was in good condition. Easy to put together and adjust. I would have preferred that the latch that comes down over the bike frame was the type that use a key lock, but considering the price, this will work. Using the tilt feature, I am able to open the rear hatch of my Outback even with my 29'r Cannondale on the mount closest to the car. I used the rack on 30 miles of back country, rough roads. By the nature of the way racks are mounted, they wiggle around a bit. Glad I got the 2" model. I think the 1 1/4" with a sleeve to fit a 2" would end up fatigued if used on rough roads. 107714

The people at etrailer really know their stuff. Great product information, illustrations, guides, FAQs, and customer reviews. A well put together web store. I have brought several items from them over the years. The ebike rack is beefy and works slick. It was fun to put together. 235914

Review from a similar Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE2 in Hitch Bike Racks

We had shopped many of the well known brands of Bike racks and was able to use etrailer to view videos on each one of the products. We found this very helpful to actually see how it fit on the car and also how well it did or did not function in use. We ended up choosing the Hollywood brand, a two bike model that has the ability to expand. It was important that it tipped and folded flat so we shopped for those qualities as well as durability. We live in Colorado, use the rack almost every weekend and have a variety of weather conditions. After 2 weeks we are very happy with our purchase. It is sturdy, fits my Jeep Grand Cherokee perfectly and is easy to fold and tilt. I am small in stature so being able to maneuver around the rack and load and unload the bikes was important for me. Great rack and met all our needs. Note to buyers, if you have a newer vehicle with the backup object detector, the buzzing when you back up can make you a little crazy. 369377

Review from a similar Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE2 in Hitch Bike Racks

Rack is great, the quality control is not. The rack is straightforwardly engineered- there is no exotic workmanship or hardware to be found, which is fine by me, since replacement parts should be easy to find/make. Heavy and strong with a higher weight capacity than most. Highly adjustable to different bike sizes. Folds up pretty compactly considering its size. Included locking hitch pin and cable is nice. Anti-wobble mechanism works very well and is super easy to use. ISSUES: tilt-down feature did not tilt bikes far enough away to be useful (on my '98 4Runner anyway). Directions could be better thought-out, illustrations were small and overly dark. QUALITY CONTROL ISSUES: 1. the anti-wobble handle was installed facing the wrong way. Had to be re-intalled in order to function. 2. The anti-wobble "U" shaped bracket inside the hitch was oriented the wrong way. Had to be removed and re-oriented. 3. One of the pins did not have a tether (all the others do, which prevents you from losing them.) The first 2 issues were easily fixed, and the 3rd I can figure out something, but come on, it's a $300 rack, inspect it already. Despite this, very happy with purchase. 143334

Great Product, Heavy Duty, easy installation! I added brackets to the ends to allow for Break and Running lights, as the bikes will be covered, blocking the Vehicle. Uncovered Bikes work well with out additional lights. 637178

The HR1450E bike rack is a bit heavy, and it's a bit big and it takes a few minutes to unfold and fold it open and closed.. BUT it is truly the best rack I have ever used. I love it! When you are done securing your very expensive bike's to the rack- it is not going any where! and it's easy to lock the whole thing up and go in and have lunch on the road. I recommend it! 332239

Comes with a hitch lock AND cable lock long enough to wrap around bikes and then to be fed through the designated hole in the base of the rack. Four keys are given that open both provided locks, so there is no worrying if it is the correct key when you pull them out of storage. I have a heavier enduro mountain bike and my rack/hitch holds it without shaking and rattling, but also holds road bikes just as well. And if I ever meet two other people who would like to tear it up on the trails with me on a regular basis, I know I can come back here and buy the attachment for an additional two more bikes. A year later and it's never been removed, is rust free, and working like it did on day 1. By going through etrailer.com and not the car dealer to buy the hitch, install that myself, then buy the rack in store and install that too, I saved hundreds! Their products are quality at a fraction of others' prices, with great installation videos that helped me get 'er done (I'm definitely not a mechanic). Couldn't recommend this rack/etrailer.com more. 556616

Review from a similar Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE2 in Hitch Bike Racks

This product was perfect for my heavy e-bike (Stromer ST-1) and was capable of holding 2 of them at 55 lbs each. The instructions for assembly were straight forward and all parts were easily identified. Once assembled, the rack was easy to attach to my hitch and easy to take off. I loved the fact that it folded down to allow the tailgate to open. I would definitely buy again, and, in fact, will have to do so since I lost my home in the recent Northern Cal wildfire and the rack was in the garage!! I will be ordering exactly the same product. 454968

Very sturdy, well-made rack. It is easy to assemble, but e-trailer has a good assembly video available, if needed. This rack is rated to be able to carry two 80 pound bikes, and I was unable to find any bicycle rack that was comparably rated. The racks that I could find that were close, as far as weight carrying capacity, were hundreds of dollars more. So far, I am very satisfied with this purchase. 454779

Review from a similar Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE2 in Hitch Bike Racks

I cannot say enough about the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE2 that I purchased over a year ago - it handles a total of 160 pounds for our 2 eBikes that weigh 80 pounds each. I have not seen any other such rack on the market that even comes close to handling eBikes with this much weight. The attached picture shows how these two bikes travel on the back of our truck. The racks hold the bike sturdy while traveling on a major highway at 65mphs. Even on bumpy dirt roads, this rack holds the eBike in the same position until they are removed. The other great feature is the quick flexibility, of the tire and frame holder, to make adjustments for one or two eBikes being transported. The tilt down feature makes easy loading/unloading of the 80 pound bikes for one person. It's also nice to be able to leave the rack in place by flipping it up when not in use, or leaving it horizontal when opening the tailgate of the truck. And when it does need to be removed, it's so simple to unlock it from the truck hitch and remove with minimal effort. After one year of full outdoor exposure (rain, snow and sun), there is no sign of any rust or defect on the rack, or the locking mechanism. I highly recommend this particular rack if you intend to transport any type of heavy duty eBike, you'll be glad you did when you don't see any wild movements while traveling down the road. 468152

Totally worth the investment, as I can now port this rack from my pickup truck, to our 5th Wheel hitch, and our Volvo HDT RV towing vehicle. To get the rack to fit on the 2 RV rigs hitches, Ill have to obtain a hitch reducing sleeve that I know eTrailer also stocks. This racks just keeps paying for itself over and over again.

Thanks for your follow and reply. Very happy to hear that you are pleased with this bike rack, but I did want to let you know that Hollywood racks only rates this rack for use behind a driving vehicle and a motorhome. It is not rated for use on a towed vehicle, or on an RV. If you would like to consider a different bike rack the Swagman Escapee # S64693
Swagman Escapee 2 Bike Platform Rack - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount
$399.00
is a great choice because it is rated for use on RV's and trailers. It does offer many of the same features as your Hollywood Racks, but is has a 60 pound per bike weight capacity, and may not be compatible for bikes with fenders.

This is one solid, high capacity rack. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that it's pretty darn heavy being all steel. The fit and finish is top quality. If you've watched the assembly video, it's a cinch to put together. All the bolts are metric (made in China like everything these days), so you need to right sockets or end wrenches, but they give you the SAE equivalents when that works. I also want to mention what a pleasure it is to deal with etrailer. These guys are top notch. My order shipped the day it was made, and they follow through. 425065

After a year of use, my opinion has changed. This is a solid rack that will haul heavy ebikes anywhere you wish to go. As I write, we are heading home from what will be a 1600 mile trip to Colorado with the bikes.

Pro: Holds a heavy cargo bike with a long wheelbase. Con: The foam padding on the arm holders broke apart on our first road trip and scratched both bikes. Very cumbersome to adjust wheelbase. Heavy with cheap velcro straps and foam padding. I've owned several racks over the past few decades and this by far the worst. The only benefit is that it can accommodate a heavy bike with a long wheelbase. It's been over a year since I purchased this so maybe there are other nicer options out there that will fit a cargo bike. I would recommend looking at other products. Though Etrailer customer service and transaction was very good. 365819

We started putting it together and noticed "on the instructions". Not to be used on a towed vehicle" This was the reason we purchased it in the first place. We put it together anyway, the reason being, we might be using it around our area and would keep it than for just that purpose. I have a women's bike and my husband purchased an electric bike with a low step through. With both bikes needing to use the lower bar, it would not work. It would be helpful to put this warning on your instructional video to save $ and not waste time: Not to be used on a towed camper or car. 156008

Review from a similar Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE2 in Hitch Bike Racks

Good recommendation by etrailer staff (phone) to meet some specific needs for an e-bike (heavier than usual bikes) traveling on two different vehicles. The Hollywood rack is quite sturdy, high quality, well thought out, and seems to be stable while driving. Took a while to assemble - instructions are difficult for what is otherwise a fairly straightforward design. E-bike is low step thru (girls style - no upper tube) and I was concerned if vertical holder would be short enough. One of the vertical hold downs is shorter than the other and it worked like a charm. Comprehensive locking system that is effective if you need to be away from the car for a bit. Rack is probably overkill if you are driving cross town to the trail but if you are planning more lengthy travels or bumpy roads this is the way to go. I'm looking forward to some RV road trips taking the bikes for multiple days. This looks like exactly what is needed. Only improvement might be more recline for opening rear hatches and doors - will have to remove bikes but not rack to get into back of Sprinter van. 151699

Review from a similar Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE2 in Hitch Bike Racks

This rack is strong, all metal, balanced really well, stable and holds two bikes perfectly. It folds up into a low profile without the bikes and can easily be moved away from my truck for easy entrance to the back. We have two electric bikes which are longer than average by quite a bit and the moveable wheel holders can be adjusted to the exact length needed. The bikes are held tight and move very little over bumps or poor roads. The lock is just the right length, simple and easy to use. The ordering - customer service and prompt shipping was very pleasant and quick, and the price is lower than the better known brands, but I believe it is a much better rack. The only thing that is a con for me is the instruction manual for assembly...not so great...took quite a while to put together, but, that being said, all the parts were there and every part lends itself to excellent stability and safety. I recommend this company and the product. Really glad we found it. 233196

Review from a similar Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE2 in Hitch Bike Racks

This might be somewhat premature, but if I don't write it now, I won't write one at all. I noticed there are many complaints about assembly instructions. I wonder if they recently got someone to rewrite these because, even though I'm not a genius, I thought they were some of the best instructions I have ever seen. The one trick I would recommend is to tear off the "Parts Included" sheet and place it side-by-side with the instructions because the instructions constantly refer to part numbers and the parts themselves are unlabeled - you need a quick reference. Uninitiated, it took me 30 minutes; if doing it a second time, it would take half that. As for quality and materials, parts are all snug and tight and properly aligned (as a rule, I am generally ready with my drill to "fix" all the items that fail to line up). If this was a car, I would call it excellent fit and finish. It is as heavy-duty as most buyers state and I expect it to last a very long time. All adjustable parts are readily adjustable and lock down very tight and secure. I really like the design, which seems very well thought-out. And this is from one who constantly grouses about why they hire such stupid people to design things. As of this writing, I am thrilled and 100% certain we made the right choice to carry my wife's 65 lb electric along with my own standard model. Happy trails! 198390
