It’s beefy and solid. The mounting bracket square holes had to be cut in a smidge and he added two more support bars.. but all in all. My welder said it would tow 11-12 k. Not the 16k I was told. But hey. I’m okay with that. There was a shipping issue which forced me to reschedule a few things, that is the only reason I gave 4 stars. Otherwise I am supper happy with how it turned out.

The hitch looks good! The hitch itself is rated to tow up to 15,000 pounds however it is limited to the frame and or bumper capacity that the hitch is welded. So if the RV is only rated to tow 11,000 pounds then that is what you would want to go by.

by:

Very happy with this hitch. The size of the end plates matched the frame on our old truck and with the class V weight rating, our old truck can do a few other things around the farm now. Thank you.

Great product. Fast delivery

by:

I called to ask what was the inside dimension of the big square and it was said to be 4 1/2" square, that wasn't even close, it was 3 5/8" square.
But I was lucky I needed 3 1/4 square. I'm modifying this to fit my fisher plow bracket so I have a front hitch to use around the yard. Nobody makes one. I own a machine shop so by getting this saves me a lot of work. So by receiving the wrong info I rating you less than EXCELLENT

by:

What a great hitch for a great price. I attached this to the rear of my Freightliner FLD-120. What a beast! The perfect hitch! Thanks

by:

Heavy duty hitch. Easily installed. However I am a welder fabricater with 30 years experience.

by:

Easy installation and after one year of heavy use, still going strong!

by:

This is a very heavy duty hitch. Haven't gotten it mounted yet, but looks to be of good quality.

It is very well built and the powder coating is very tough, took a good grinding to get it off for the welds. Good price as well. I used it for my 2006 Bounder 35E, not because it was a high rate hitch, as I did not need one, but this was the only one that would lower the hitch to a more normal height from the ground. The old hitch was so high a 10" deep was not enough to use a trailer parallel to the ground. Now I can hook up a lot easier and not worry about scraping. Looks good too.

by:

Great quality product from Curt . Can be easy installation depending on the application.. mine more difficult because of aluminum alloy frame, so will have to do some reinforcing.

by:

I put this on my 03 Freightliner Columbia. It does everything I want it to. It is bolted and welded.
I like it so much that a bought another one and put it on my old school bus. That one is just bolted on.

by:

attached this hitch to my 1984 American General 5 ton military truck. Had to do some modification to air lines and drill a few holes but it is perfect for pulling civilian trailers with the M 813.

by:

Perfect fit on my 2009 blue bird

by:

Added (welded) to our diesel pusher Motorhome and have no issues and really no worries while towing whatever we feel we need while camping.

by:

Fast shipping

by:

I think you guys should send me some ap parel!

by:

Well, I really respect the fact that they waited for one year before asking for a review, they offer a 2 inch and a 2 1/2 inch receiver the 2 1/2 inch receiver would obviously be a larger rectangle to accommodate a half an inch, the vertical uprights I received had holes pre-cut to accommodate a 2 1/2 inch receiver I ordered a 2 inch receiver, needless to say, there was an abundance of slop, half inch gaps, requiring a lot of fabrication on either side of the vertical uprights, knowing this now, going with the 2 1/2 receiver should have saved a ton of unnecessary fabrication time.

by:

Exactly what we wanted. Worked perfect on our recent, extended trip to Alaska and back.

Solid as stone!!

  • Class V Hitch With Drop For 34 Inch Frame Rails on Custom Truck
We definitely have some options that will work for you, though in regards to the specific hitches you asked about, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15300 is 36 inches between the bolt holes, while the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15410 measures 34 inches between the bolt holes. So neither is going to fit 34 inch wide outside-to-outside frame rails, which makes sense as these are custom-fit hitches. What you can use instead is a universal weld-on hitch that doesn't require that specific...

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2008 GMC Sierra 2500 HD Royal Truck Body
Your best option is a weld-on trailer hitch for your 2008 GMC Sierra 2500 HD Royal Dump Body. The Curt Hitch # C15313 you referenced won't drop down far enough for it to work properly. I recommend the Curt Class V weld-on receiver hitch # 15902 because it has a 10.865 inch drop. It's designed to work with service and utility body trucks. The gross towing weight capacity is 15,000 pounds and tongue weight is 1,500 pounds. It's recommended a certified welder complete the installation. I...

  • Trailer Hitch Receiver For a 1956 Chevy 4400 Flatbed Dump Truck
I recommend using the Curt Class 5 Universal Weld-on Hitch w/ Brackets # C47CR for your 1956 Chevy 4400. This universal hitch will allow you to fit a frame from 18" to 44" wide. The frame mount brackets are 10" tall and 10-1/2" deep. Be sure to measure your frame and bumper to determine if you will need taller brackets like those included with the Receiver # 15902. There are currently no custom fit receivers for the frame of your Chevy.

The hitch has a black powder coat finish that will resist rust and corrosion. The side brackets will fit from 18 inches to nearly 44 inches. It has a solid construction for maximum strength and safety. I attached a review video link below.

The correct hitch for your 2019 Freightliner Sprinter 3500 depends on the wheelbase and bumper. The Curt Class V Universal Weld-on Receiver Hitch # 15902 will fit to truck frames that have between 18- and 44-inches between the frame rails. It offers just over 10-inches of drop. You can measure the distance from your frame rails where this will weld on down to the bottom of the utility body/bumper to determine if the 10-inches of drop is adequate. If not you will be better off using Draw-Tite # 41990-16. This universal-fit hitch is intended for utility body trucks and has brackets...

  • Hitch With 800-1000 Pound Tongue Capacity for 1997 Ford E350 Class C Motorhome
As custom bolt on hitches are not made for Class-C motor homes you will need an adjustable one. A typical Class-3 hitch will have a top tongue weight capacity of around 600 pounds. A higher class hitch will have much more capacity. Since you prefer to have 800-1000 pounds of capacity I would use the Curt # 15902 Universal Hitch with brackets and an almost 11" drop.
