Very happy with the RoadMaster spare tire carrier #195125 I installed on our 2017 mb sprinter 2500. This is a heavy duty unit that looks great and works as advertised. With the exception of installing the two nylon washers between the shaft and main hitch it was easy to install and easy to operate. 718281

The product is great...it's designed for a van, I believe, so in saying this the it should stick out of the reciever a little further. Once installed I could only open the back doors far enough to stick.my arm in. I have a 6" reciever extension that I used which allowed me to open the back doors. Once the tire was in place i was only able to open the doors enough for me to squeeze through. Thus is no big deal though if you swing the tire down to one side or the other. Then the doors open fully. For a long trip this is still piece of mind knowing I can fix a flat on the road and not stranded.... especially in areas of no cell service. No complaints from me. 661271

I FOUND THE rOADMASTER sPARE TIRE CARRIER TO BE A WELL MADE UNIT AND WELL SUITED TO THE HIGHSIDE VAN TYPE CLASS 'B" MOTOR HOME. InSTRUCTIONS FOR ASSEMBLY ARE CLEAR. iNSTALLATION IS SIMPLY SLID THE UNIT INTO THE EXTANT HITCH RECEIVOR. It does require small metal modification if rear door needs to be openable as emergency egress. ( I sent pictures to the email address in your email to me, but my attempt was rejected as INVALID address. Will send again if viable address is sent. Jerry 745093

Seems like quality is really good. I just put it on the vehicle, so I will see how it stands the test of time. 740021

I was impressed with the quality of machining and how sturdy this carrier is. I wasn’t sure how well it would hold the weight of a spare tire but I have no doubts now. While I don’t need this feature now, I know the ability to swing the carrier down the ground so you can just roll the tire up to it to mount will be increasingly appreciated as I age :) 735605

Heavy duty enough to definitely hold the spare stable. One 5/8" hole was not completely drilled out. Was no problem for me as had a drill press and finished the hole but without that ability the product might be returned. Other than that I do recommend this carrier. 706770

well built. but like others, having the threaded pin is a nuisance, if one has to remove the spare tire carrier. had to add an 8 inch extension on the vehicle receiver, so I could open the rear doors on the dodge promaster van. 691826

  • Will Roadmaster Spare Tire Carrier Work With Motorhome and Bike Rack
The Roadmaster Spare Tire Carrier # RM-195125 only has about 8 inches from the hitch pin hole to the back of the carrier and my understanding of Fiamma racks for motorhomes are that they are designed to sit pretty low when mounted on rails of motorhomes. What you can do is use this spare tire carrier as a receiver for a bike rack, but you would need one that is rated for use on the back of a motorhome such as the Swagman Titan 2-Bike Rack # S63400. The Roadmaster Spare Tire Carrier will...

  • Determining if Roadmaster Spare Tire Carrier # RM-195125 Will Interfere with Rear Bumper
From the center of the hitch pin hole on the Roadmaster Spare Tire Carrier # RM-195125 to the back of the vertical locking latch there is a distance of right at 8 inches (see attached image). What you can do on your vehicle is take a measurement from the center of the hitch pin hole on your trailer hitch receiver out to the outermost edge of the rear bumper. As long as this dimension is less than 8 inches the Spare Tire Carrier will work perfectly and there won't be any need for an...

  • How To Determine If An Item Will Clear the Spare Tire On the Roadmaster Spare Tire Carrier
In order to determine if a hitch mounted accessory will clear the spare tire on the Roadmaster Spare Tire Carrier part # RM-195125 you will need to measure the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest part of said accessory. This distance will need to be more than the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole on the spare tire carrier to the outer edge of the tire which is 5-3/4" plus the width of the tire. If you have a 225/75-15 tire with zero offset then the...

Yes, the Roadmaster Spare Tire Carrier # RM-195125 will work on your Jayco Melbourne motorhome, and it is straight out so it won't lower where the factory receiver is. • Will Rear Door of 2017 Ram ProMaster 3500 Clear the Roadmaster Spare Tire Carrier
I'm not sure right off the bat if the base of the Roadmaster Spare Tire Carrier # RM-195125 will interfere with the door on your 2017 Ram ProMaster 3500, but I was able to take a trip out to the warehouse and find that from the top of the receiver to the top of the plate that the post secures to was about 7-1/2" (see attached photo). • Does Roadmaster Spare Tire Carrier Allow Standard Trailer Towing
I believe you are asking if you can tow a trailer while using the receiver of the Roadmaster Spare Tire Carrier # RM-195125 and the answer is no because this carrier is only designed to be used for flat towing or an accessory such as a bike rack. • Will the Roadmaster Spare Tire Carrier Work On a 1995 Dodge Ram 2500/3500 Cummins
The Roadmaster Spare Tire Carrier part # RM-195125 should work on a 1995 Dodge Ram 2500/3500 but you will need to confirm the hitch pin hole depth for yourself because of the aftermarket bumper. The Roadmaster Spare Tire Carrier will require that you have no more than 8" between the center of the hitch pin hole to the outer edge of the bumper. I checked the bolt/lug pattern and there will be no issues here.

You can use the Spare Tire Carrier for Yakima Roof Cargo Baskets # Y07076 to secure a spare on a Yakima roof basket like the LoadWarrior part # Y07070. You'd need to install a roof rack on your 2018 Toyota Prius Prime like the Yakima CoreBar part # Y00421, # Y00146, # Y06123, and # Y06169 which is a confirmed fit that...

  • Choosing Between Roadmaster Spare Tire Carriers RM-195225 and RM-195125
The Roadmaster Hitch Mounted Spare Tire Carrier # RM-195225 pivots down 90-degrees as shown in the photo, but specific rear door clearance on your RV would depend on several factors so we cannot guarantee your rear doors would still be able to open. The things that matter are the tire size on the RV and of course the spare, the hitch height and the RV's own stance above ground, which is a function of the total load in it. My contact at Roadmaster hears customer comments all the time...

Even though the Roadmaster Hitch Mounted Spare Tire Carrier was designed with RV use in mind, since it mounts to a standard 2" receiver you can use it with your Isuzu NPR box truck provided you have a 2" hitch receiver. You need part # RM-195225 for a dually wheel and you need part # RM-195125 for a wheel that doesn't have as great of an offset. I have attached a photo a customer sent in of this carrier being used on their van that you can check out.
