This hitch gives you the muscle to tow small campers, boats, and utility trailers without breaking a sweat. With a gross trailer weight rating of 8,000 lbs and a tongue weight rating of 800 lbs, it’s built for steady towing and everyday use. When paired with a weight distribution system, those capacities climb to 10,000 lbs GTW and 1,000 lbs tongue weight. The 2" x 2" receiver works with most ball mounts, bike racks, and cargo carriers, so you can haul just about anything you need.
The matte black finish isn’t just about looks—it’s about durability. The powder coated steel resists rust and corrosion while giving the hitch a tough, carbide-like appearance that hides scratches, scuffs, and dirt far better than glossy coatings. Whether you’re driving on salty winter roads or dusty summer trails, this finish keeps the hitch looking good and performing strong over time.

No welding or drilling required here. This hitch bolts directly onto existing holes in your vehicle’s frame using the factory hardware. That means you can install it in your driveway with basic tools—no shop or lift needed. The precision robotic welds make for a solid fit and strong connection every time, ensuring your hitch stays tight and aligned for the long haul.
The concealed cross tube keeps things tidy by hiding most of the hitch behind the bumper. Only the receiver is visible, giving your vehicle a clean, factory-style finish that doesn’t distract from its original look. You get all the towing capability without the bulky hardware hanging out underneath.

The part came wrapped in plastic with no box but was in good condition.
The hardest part of the installation was removing the factory hitch components.
I used Jack stands to hold the rear bumper in place, removed the screws from the old hitch and wiggled the old part out.
Lying on my back under the back of the truck the new part was light enough I could lift the new part in place and start a bolt to hold in place.
I broke a 1/2" breaker bar removing the old bolts manually so if you have impact tools it'll save lots of sweat.
Fits well and looks good and rugged.
Very solid hitch. It took me about 1.5 hours to install. The biggest problem is getting the bolts out, they are pretty tough to get out. One thing I would highly recommend, it is something they tell you to do, but I did not do a good job of it and it cost me an extra 1/2 hour. Clean out the threads before installing the 8 bolts. I did not do a good job and the bolts would not go in all the way. I took them back out, cleaned the threads and the bolts went in without a problem.
Now a quick review of etailer.com: You rock! My hitch showed up with damage that was caused from shipping, the box was all ripped apart and the hitch was bent. After a quick email and a very fast response, the new hitch was on the way. Less than 48 hours later the new hitch was at my door. Thank You etrailer.com keep up the Great Work!!!

Things are still going great. Once again I would highly recommend etrailer. After 1 year of use it has been flawless. Thank You!!!
PERFECT FIT AND SHIPPED QUICK!
Fit perfect
It had a few places that the paint was knocked off all at points that I would expect the hitch to make contact in shipping. One of the side bolt mounting holes was bent, again a shipping problem and easy to straighten. Happy with product.

Gosh it sounds like shipping did a number on the hitch but Im happy to hear it sounds like you were able to get it installed. :)
Quick ship, best price and good quality item, will be ordering again.
Excellent quality and value. Shipping was next day, thanks Michelle V. Perfect fitment. Hardest part of the installation was removal of large bolts. Cheater bar needed.
The welds on the top side of the brackets were not ground down enough and caused the side holes to be too low for the holes in the truck frame. I had to file down the hole to make room to get the bolts in.
I installed this hitch on my new colorado pick up. It fit perfectly and was easy to install.
Looks great and of course hauls my trailer well.
The product was good. The fit was horrible. It took my mechanic 6 hours to adjust to make fit. Yes i ordered the right one. The flanges had to be beat out and then reshaped to fit.It may have been "custom fit" but it wasn't custom fit to my truck. Ordered through etrailer through customer service rep named Peyton, even spoke to her on the pholne to make sure it was correct.

The hitch is sturdy reliable. The fitment however was Horrible the width was off by at least 14 to 12 inch. It took my mechanic about an extra hour to get it into place witch was an extra hour labor. I would strongly recommend you double check your measurements
East install and is solid

did a lot of hauling of stuff.I have no regrets
Hitch arrived with a bent flange. I had to use a dead blow hammer to straighten the flange. It appeared to have been shipped bent as the packaging was not damaged.
The bolt holes for the tire carrier did not match the proper configuration. I to use a jack to bend the tire carrier up in order to match up the hole configuration. The OEM hitch and tire carrier matched perfectly. The bolt holes in the hitch appeared to have been drilled to far to the rear of the hitch.
The hitch didn't have a bracket to bolt the support from the spare tire carrier cross member to the hitch. Other than that it bolted to the frame perfectly and fits fine
The hitch lined up perfectly with the frame. I did have to open the hanging brackets with a 2 pound hammer in order for them to slide onto the frame. I suppose they bent a little during shipping. The videos were excellent source material.
AS far as the product, first impressions are great! Bought this as a gift for my dad and his '19 Chevy Colorado. I purchase this and the wiring harness. Awaiting until Christmas for an install. My only complaint was the shipping. My wife and I have had too many issues with UPS in the pass and the delivery of these items were no different. Although the items showed up early, I can't get over UPS lying stating a delivery attempt was made. I have Ring video of the time they are stating that says otherwise. Then once the items finally arrived the next day, the box containing the harness was fine but the hitch looks as if it had been dragged around and dropped. You can see from the pictures that the wrapping isn't sufficient to protect it from drops. So, as I said, I would look into shipping with someone else.
Came in super fast, was a little snug putting it on but on the other hand it was a almost perfect fit got it on and it looks amazing already took my boat to the lake with it no problems!
The hitch itself is a very nice piece, however it did not get an excellent rating because the bracket on the hitch for the spare tire support bracket is way too low and I had to fabricate 2 spacers 2 5/8" long to connect the 2 brackets. As you can see from the picture there is no way that support bracket was going to reach 2/3 of the way down the tire.
Pretty straight forward installing. Bolts right in. Will need a hand to hold it in place to install. A little heavier than the one that was under the tuck for bumper ball. Looks great and fits great !! Also got the OEM style wiring kit. That as well fits as it should and fairly easy to install.

Working out very well with no problems! Direct replacement!
With a little help from my don it was fairly easy to install. The only thing I didn’t like was the the way the hitch receiver was shipped. It was unprotected and had a slight bend when we connected it to the frame, but it was easy to straighten out . Other than that it was good .!
customer service outstanding ! Great company to buy from.
box arrived beat up, not their fault, hitch was fine, no damaged. install...to be continued. so far so good,
will buy again without any hesitation. Great purchase Great Company.
Excellent quality and the matte finish looks great. The DIY videos were much appreciated; takes longer than a pro but I figured I saved about $400 installing this hitch myself. FYI: strap and support the bumper, no need to disconnect all the wiring. The Hopkins connector is perfect for the Colorado.
Product is mostly good. As other reviewers noted, packaging is a weak point... It's this roughly 60-pound metal structure with pokey parts, shipped with no padding or filler, able to flop around in an oversized cardboard box. The box was beat up, but it was basically OK.
The directions could use a lot of improvement. I have no way of knowing if the other low ratings that said it was the wrong size were correct or not, but I can validate that it definitely looks and feels like it is very much the wrong size during install, until you get it perfectly lined up to fit on the inside of the bumper mounts. That part of it did fit perfectly once it was well lined up.
However, there is one aspect of it that definitely was welded wrong on mine. There is a bracket on the back of the tow hitch that a part for the spare tire storage bolts to. With the whole thing (and bumper) installed to give maximum tolerance to this bracket, it was still about 5/8" too close. There is no way the spare tire part would fit back on unmodified. So I had to drill two new 1/2" holes in this bracket to get it mounted. There is enough tolerance around the tire that this worked. But it added hours to the install because I had to go halfway through removal and reinstallation to make sure it wasn't due to me not installing the receiver correctly.
Tips:
- There is wiring that should be dealt with before you start. Mine just had one cable bundle on the zip tied to the driver's side of the existing that needed to be clipped.
- The bumper mounts fit on the outside of the tow hitch mounting plates. - This is just too unwieldy to lift and hold in place to get the first bolts in. Instead of thinking about how to hold it or how a helper should hold it, think about what you have that can support it while you start the bolts. For me, it was jack stands holding the hitch receiver, and cinderblocks plus a piece of 2x6 at each end of the bumper. No jack was needed.
Now that it's done, it looks and works great. The lack of detailed instructions made installation more difficult than it needed to be though. And the need to drill holes in an existing part to put everything back together was a serious miss.
Initially everything on shipping looked good when tracking it, sadly it got to destination center and then got turned around and sent back to eTrailer. For some reason it showed a PO Box for delivery address as well as a street address and someone couldn't figure it out. One phone call to the right person and it was finally on its way and arrived as it should have.
Decent hitch. Seems well constructed. It was packed in an oversized box with no padding and one of the mounting ears was bent. The box looked like UPS had drug it behind the truck and taped it back together. Took about a half an hour to pound it straight again. Ruined the cheap paint job on that side. Bought some Rust-Oleum and sprayed the damaged ear. Hopefully it won't rust too bad. Watch the installation videos before trying to install this hitch. The paper instructions are just an exploded diagram of the back of the truck and standard unbolt then re-bolt. Had a little trouble getting everything to line up but a bigger hammer made it fit correctly. Watch the spare tire mounting plate. it's very hard to get it in the proper position.
The hitch receiver was a perfect fit. Just follow the video for installation, but have a helper on hand.

Glad it fit perfectly, Poppy! A helper definitely makes the job easier as well. What are you going to be using the hitch for?
