I just installed my trailer hitch a couple days ago on my 2017 Chevrolet Silverado pickup and it was very easy. I watched the 5 min. video prior to installation and it was exactly as the video showed. With the help of my brother-in-law we had it installed from start to finish in about 20 min. The quality of construction looked good and should suit my needs completely and the price was great. My local Chevrolet dealership wanted $300 just for the hitch and $50 to install it and it only cost me $150 to buy it on your site and No installation cost. I would recommend this site to anyone.
Excellent fit and finish. The listing is a bit misleading, it says all hardware included but it is not, it makes you reuse factory bolts which weren't on my truck (bought used and looks to be removed by previous owner) so I recommend to check to see if the factory bolts are installed on your truck. Customer service was excellent, they were going to take the item back on return so I could order the draw tite hitch which comes with the bolts but I opted to buy the bolts ($36) at the dealership. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from e-trailer again!
I submitted a five star rating and I'm extremely happy with the fastest delivery in the easy installation. The only problem I had was trying to download the Finish photo where's my rating and for some reason it wouldn't download it after three tries. Before the product, some words on the service. I had multiple interactions with a customer service queen named Nicki (sp?) and she was awesome. Super knowledgeable about the products and about navigating the website (which was easy), and actually listened to my questions rather than telling me what she thought I should hear. Give her a raise and have her train people.
Now the product: I ordered late in the day Tuesday and my shipment arrived Thursday about noon. I watched the installation video already, so I went to it. Took me about 30 minutes to install the hitch and another 3 min. to install the 7-way/4-way plug my truck needed, all by my lonesome. I have all the tools needed and have been accused of being handy, but the install was exactly as easy as the video showed. Two people and a lift would be great, but putting a 2x6 on a floor jack and putting the hitch on the 2x6 worked great to lift it into position. Jacked right up, putting the factory studs in the holes. Wiring plug is idiotproof, so nothing else to say on that.
Only head scratcher is the recommended torque specs on the instruction sheet. I followed the [manufacturer's specifications] but I could easily get another 1/4 to 1/2 turn plus on all fasteners after I hit the mark. Maybe a response to me and something in FAQs might help clarify on this.
Overall, a terrific buying experience. No complaints yet, but I only used it to pull a few small trees out this afternoon. I presume it will pull my boat and trailer just fine, and the bolts will not get loose. But my torque concern will mean I'll have to keep an eye on it. Good work, etrailer.com

Website very easy to operate and fubd exactly the right part to fit my truck/trailer !!! Videos were very helpful even telling me what sockets and wrenches I needed to complete install by myself and Im a carpenter not really mechanically gifted. Will definitely use etrailer.com again without hesitation!!
Hitch would not line up on frame. Contacted customer support. Was told I had to bend the hitch out to match frame. Spent a half hour with a 13 ton jack to get it to line up. Was not told this info in directions. Very pour quality control

What I suspect happened is that the side brackets were knocked out of alignment. The fastest way to correct it is to bend it back into shape. We have a FAQ that can help with it. As long as it is not more than one inch off this this is what we recommend.

I haved owned this hitch for a year. Aside from a little surface rust, the hitch performs well. I especially like the tow chain eye loops. They are easily assessible with large rings to accomodate your tow chain hooks easily. The installation was not very difficult. They really studied the specs of my vehicle and fitment was perfect. Also the tolerances are pretty good so you dont hear much hitch to reciver noise.
The 1st hitch somehow got lost in transit through UPS. It took over 2 weeks to have the issue looked into after not being delivered and etrailer requesting a search by UPS. Once a 2nd hitch was approved to reship, I followed the tracking up to the truck being on our street. When I went out to meet the driver I was concerned by the appearance of the being damaged, but because of the strong design of the weldment and the way the hardware was heavily taped to the hitch by the collector at etrailer, everything was fine and was able to get it installed on my truck with no problems.
No Problem .By myself it took me about 1 1/2 Hours . Now my wire harness is too short .Do you have a wire harness to lengthen it . I need about 12 " to make it work . 2018 Chevy Silverado with factory Harness. Thanks

ok No Problem .
Received the hitch receiver within 3 days after ordering. All the parts were there and instructions were clear and easy. I'm a retired,not that mechanically oriented and slightly built 65 year old and I installed it within an hour after it was delivered. Now ready for a travel trailer and fishing!
This product was a great purchase for my application!

Great no problems at all
Hitch arrived in a timely manner it looked great. The installation was quick and easy. I like the way it fit in the truck, and the actual finish on the hitch is nice as well. I would recommend this product to anyone needed a class IV hitch for their truck. Very pleased
Easy to install
My product ps arrive very quickly. Once I received it I had this on my truck literally within 45 minutes. This was including the easy to install wiring harness for the trailer lights! Thank you save a bunch of money using strainer. A friend recommended me to you and steered me in the right direction for sure. Oh yeah one more thing the videos about the 2 items purchased totally took the dumb out of this install piece of cake! Thank you again!
Lacking could have been a little better. Hitch busted through the box and was a bit marked up. Easy install was installed in less than 20 minutes
It feels like it was carved from the side of a Sherman tank. It arrived in two days and couldn’t be easier to install provided you’ve got the big wrenches, sockets, extensions, and torque wrench handy. Measure it before you attempt to install. Mine had one side bent by 3cm probably thanks to an inattentive forklift driver somewhere. It was nothing I couldn’t true up with a bottle jack and some cribbing. My thinking being; if I can’t endure 3cm of adversity, then maybe I shouldn’t be rigging my truck to tow 9,000 Lbs.
Once it was squared up, my son, Charlie, and I had it on in 1/2 hour. Lowering the spare tire might give you more room to work but we didn’t feel the need.
I highly recommend.
The trailer hitch is great and bolted on perfectly.

I did speak with our in house engineer, and another hitch manufacturer for verification and the torque specs are based on federal standards. The hitch hardware should only be torque to the specifications, and not beyond because it can be over torqued and can break or damage the hardware if it is over torqued.
