Features to know about

Bring More Gear on Every Trip: Class III, 2" Hitch Receiver

This hitch turns your vehicle into a real hauler. With a 3,500-lb maximum gross trailer weight and 350-lb tongue weight (up to 5,000 lbs GTW and 500 lbs TW when used with weight distribution), it’s built for towing small campers, boats, or utility trailers. The 2" x 2" receiver opening works with most bike racks, cargo carriers, and ball mounts, so you can easily swap between gear without needing adaptors.

Built to Last in Real-World Conditions: Matte Black Powder Coat Steel

You don’t have to worry about road grime or rust eating away at the finish. The fully welded steel construction has a matte black powder coat over a protective base coat for superior rust resistance. The rugged, round-tube design looks clean under the bumper and hides dirt, scuffs, and dings better than a glossy finish. It’s strong, durable, and ready for everyday use.

Side-by-side comparison showing etrailer trailer hitch matte carbide powder coat versus glossy black finish highlighting texture and color difference.

Close-up comparison of matte carbide and glossy black finishes on trailer hitch surfaces showing texture and reflective differences.

Easy to Install at Home: Bolt-On Design with No Welding

Installing this hitch doesn’t require special tools or a lift. It bolts directly to the frame using the complete hardware kit that’s included in the box—no welding needed. The precision, robotic welds ensure everything lines up for a proper fit, so you can get the hitch mounted quickly in your driveway and be ready to tow or load up your gear.

Made for Long-Term Dependability: Lifetime Technical Support

Once installed, you’re set for the long haul. The hitch is backed by a limited lifetime warranty and lifetime technical support from etrailer’s experts who install and test these hitches every day. It’s a dependable piece of equipment designed to keep up with all your towing and hauling plans for years to come.

Installed the trailer hitch on my 2022 Toyota Sienna XLE. Super easy to install and it looks great! Thank you for a great product!

by:

Excellent service! Have used them before. Great vendor.

by:

The e56RR Trailer Hitch Receiver arrived in a cardboard box with T-1 Wiring harness. The box was slightly damaged but all parts were included. After unpacking the box, I noticed the attaching plates looked bent, Attached are two photos of the Receiver from the under side. The Driver side mounting plate in bent 1.15" when measured 5" from the bar welding and the passenger side plate is bent 0.15" when measured 5" from the bar welding. The pasenger side plate will probably bolt on but the driver's side will need to be straightened before it will fit. Please advise what I should do next. I think both plates were welded on without the bends.

I see from the pictures that were sent that the hitch is what we call flexed. This can happen while in transit to our facility or to you. We do have a great FAQ that provides ways to move the brackets back into alignment so the hitch can be installed. Please see the FAQ link below.

by:

works ok. had some challenges installing as hitch gets bent in storage/shipping. Easy to remedy, but took a while to get help - and it seems to be a common problem.
had to add 4 inch extender/riser. more info about clearance would have been helpful.

by:

Prompt delivery, although the care of the package was not good, hitch is already scrapped up and missing paint in areas, pretty bummed.

Ouch, that doesn't look good at all, Nathan. I'm sorry to see that your hitch arrived like that. We have an article about rust prevention that I've linked for you. It's always good to check the hitch once a year to cover any open spots to kep prevent any rust down the road.

by:

I bought a Toyota sienna new, 2022. They put a tiny hitch on it that wouldn’t fit our 7 bike bike rack, so we bought this one and installed it. All the screws lined up and the customer service helped me know what one to buy. It’s working great!

by:

We've installed this ourselves on our 2023 Toyota Sienna and its worked great. I do feel i need to add airbags for towing since the weight drops the car lower, but we mostly use it for our bikes, which works out great (we mount 2 rather heavy E-bikes in combination with a Hollywood 2 bike rack - around 200 lbs

by:

Straight forward to install, did have to bend out one of the mounting brackets slightly. Think packaging for shipment could use some improvement as others have noted. Take care when installing to protect coating.

by:

Good price, easy enough installation, good product. Bought it to mount my bike rack so I bought it without the wiring harness - I read the electrical install is not fun. Only used it a handful of times but so far so good. The installation was easy enough. Most difficult part was just getting the bolts to 86ftlb while lying on the ground. Would be easier with a friend to help lift the other side while lining up the bolts but wedging a couple pieces of wood on the other side worked fine. Looks good too!

Going strong a year later! Great choice. Noticed that backing down on some steeper inclines like driveways transitioning to the street it can bottom out and scrape but it doesn’t seem like that could have been avoided design-wise and it’s also not that big a problem. Everything else about this hitch has been great. Great finish too no signs of rusting.

@Phil If it's possible to back the vehicle at an angle when passing over the curb or transition between the driveway and the street, it will prevent or at least minimize the scraping. Another option would be to use a hitch mounted skid wheel like # RM-050. The skid wheel is a pricey option, so I'd recommend trying to back the vehicle at an angle first. Hope that helps!

by:

Seems well-made and installation not too bad EXCEPT the back hole on one side was mis-aligned. Fooled around with it for quite a while and then went to YouTube and saw how a guy got around the problem. Now that it's in, it looks great.

by:

I ordered a powder coat painted hitch so the metal would have a durable coating. The hitch came with a ripped box. There were about 3 chips that I had to paint. Not what I was expecting, but the hitch did bolt right into place.

by:

Problem with warped bolt brackets, had to spread ends of brackets 3/4 inch to match holes

by:

I was impressed, I ordered the hitch for a 2025 Toyota Siena and it came the very next day. It went on just as described on their video’s. I was not impressed with the directions that came with the product. The pictures were very dark and unreadable. I looked at the video’s and figured it out. So far I am happy with how it went together.

by:

So easy to install a paraplegic can do it :)

Really, I am a paraplegic and had it done in about 1.5 hrs from the time I started. So opening the box, gathering tools, watching the install video... done.

by:

The service and item which I received was outstanding. I would highly recommend etrailer.com to others. Thank you.

by:

Arrived quickly, meets our needs to install a hitch mounted bike rack and others in the future.

by:

Installed this on a 2024 Toyota Sienna. Super easy and has worked great. Only drawback is that it really reduces the ground clearance in the back, and so have to be careful not to scrape it at the base of a driveway. That has more to do with the vehicle than the hitch though. was easy to install!

by:

Exactly what I needed, Shipped very fast, Easy to find on the website.

by:

Install was straightforward and instructions were clear. Looks great!

by:

Hitch received promptly from etrailer. Minor holes in box, expected for this type of item in shipping but no damage to hitch. Easy installation. Had to trial and error the cuts on the plastic under panel to not overcut.

I'm glad there wasn't any damage to the hitch and that the install went smoothly for you, Dan!

by:

Product itself was good, quality looks great. Excited to use the trailer hitch. The Online installation video that I stumbled upon from etrailer was spot on. Would be nice to include a link to these in the email
Receipt as the vehicle itself was chosen at time of order. The fit was great and installation was easy, again spot on with the etrailer online installation video. However shipping and quality of arrived product is what matters. My trailer hitch box had 4 holes ripped in the box due to poor packaging design where the hitch was showing through the box. There were scratches down to metal which I had to paint and that is disappointing as powder coat doesn’t help if it’s scratched off when it arrives. Overall this looks like a really nice product though and am excited to use it.

by:

For my purchase, customer service has been amazing. I just had my hitch installed this morning by my mechanic and it took him no time at all with no problems. We have not used it yet, but hope to in the next couple weeks. We bought it simply for a bike rack with 2E bikes.

by:

Another easy install! Took less than 30min and looks great! Instructions were simple to follow. 2026 AWD Hybrid Sienna
