You can detach the receiver in seconds with no tools, cover the opening with the included hitch plug, and keep your vehicle looking like it just rolled off the assembly line.
When you’re ready to load up bikes or extra cargo, slide your rack or carrier into the 2" opening and latch it in place. The sturdy stainless steel center block holds it securely and locks to protect against theft. It’s rated for 350 lbs of tongue weight and is designed only for hitch-mounted racks and carriers, giving you solid support without extra hardware you don’t need.
This hitch is made from corrosion-resistant stainless steel with a black powder coat finish that stands up to road grime and weather. It installs with a simple bolt-on setup that uses existing mounting points—no drilling or welding required. Great product. Very clear installation instructions provided with accurate timing guidance (I finished slightly faster than expected in about 1h 45m). Hitch is genuinely invisible and does not affect vehicle clearance when the receiver is not attached. The only "modification" to the vehicle was trimming heat shielding tin which was straightforward. Highly recommend this product -- if you can use a socket set, you can install this yourself!
I installed the stealth hitch on my BMW X1, to use for a bike rack. Very sturdy, no rattling or swaying. Quite easy to remove the hitch. This hitch is a winner!
Overall the installation was a breeze assuming you have all the necessary tools needed. Instructions were straight forward. The quality is really good especially the coating. Be advised that the receiver is a bit longer than a traditional one so keep that in mind. The good thing about it is it’s removable!
