Question:

I have a 2023 BMW X1 that I would like to install this trailer hitch on. Is it just bolt on or will i need to alter/cut/remove any stock parts? Thank you.

Hey Amy,

There is trimming of the underneath fascia and heat shield of your 2023 BMW X1 when installing the Stealth Hitches Hidden Rack Receiver # SH77VR.

This is needed to give the receiver a place to protrude after installation, but there is otherwise no type of permanent altering or removing of parts. I have a added a link below to the instructions for you to take a look at if you want a look at how the entire installation will go.

I also wanted to mention (just to be thorough), that the # SH77VR is for a rack only, like a bike rack or cargo carrier. If you wanted to do any towing with your '23 X1 you would also need the Towing Kit w/ Ball Mount and Trailer Wiring for Stealth Hitches Hidden Rack Receiver # 391CONVC5.
