The installation was pretty complicated - but that's on Tesla making everything harder than it needs to be. I don't use the hitch to tow - only for carrying bikes. Solid hitch - I carry 4 bikes on a Thule T2 Pro - everything holds solid. Was the right solution for me (vs paying $1,300 for a "factory" hitch to carry the same bikes).
No complaints here, and while that may not be a ringing endorsement... it's a hitch, what else can I say? Good price and install was as easy as my vehicle was setup for - removed bumped, hitch bolted on, bumper back on - no interference. I've only used for bike carrier, tow hitch mounted, and it's worked flawlessly for that over hundreds of miles.

Draw-tight hitch after a year of use has been perfect. I use it to haul a bicycle rack with two mountain bikes and have rented a travel trailer to pull to a local RV park and it worked flawlessly.

Fits great. Professionally installed. No noises or issues. Used for a 4 tray bike rack.
Etrailer is awesome, they offer great prices and their install videos are incredibly helpful. My install went as expected. Hitch has been working well for me; I use it for a bike rack to haul around up to 4 bikes.
Easier to install than I expected. Took under 2 hours, but pet of that time was we forgot to plug in the rear bumper ultrasonic sensors so we spent time getting it plugged back in. We could have pulled the bumper off but with the hitch cover removed and a long and skinny arm we were able to get it plugged back in. The directions weren’t the greatest on the paper but I was able to follow a video from [online site] Still, the product was in perfect shape when it arrived, and it arrived quick. Install went well and now my two friends that are both ordering Model Ys are going to go this route instead of paying Tesla $[XXXX]+ tax. Would highly recommend!
Hitch is sturdy and goos quality. Took roughly about 2 hours to install as it says on the website. The only con is that you are loosing your factory tow hook on the back but who’s even towing someone out of the ditch, it’d be very rare and I guess u can buy hitch attachment with hook if you really want it. If you really meed it go with the other hitch option the ‘Eco….’. Overall etrailer.com never disappoints, I have shopped here many times and will do as soon as I need something else from them!

Perfect fit for Tesla Model Y!
The installation video made this a very simple two hour install even without a lift. You’ll just need to get a little dirty. I’m only planning on using this for a bike rack but I have no doubt if I ever needed to tow something, this is more than solid enough.
Install got done by a shop in 2 hours f lat.

Great service - perfect instructions
This is a solid hitch! Installation is very straight forward. On my Tesla model Y, (after removing the bumper) I simply removed the bumper bar and the hitch mounts up to the existing bolts. Torque to spec and your good to go. Nice to have saved more than $[XXX] buying an aftermarket hitch vs. buying it from Tesla. Now I can carry my bikes - thanks etrailer!

Quinn was super helpful in allowing me to return one hitch we had ordered for a BMW and exchanging it for one that fit our new Tesla. The hitch has been installed, looks great (actually, you can't see it) and all is good. I have no hesitation in recommending these guys.
I was happy with the price, speed of delivery, and the product. It came just a few days after I ordered it, and installation only took a few hours. My only complaint is that the hole for the pin is not a full 5/8" on the right (as it is on the left) so you cannot use a standard pin. Had I known this ahead of time, I would have drilled it out. I assume this is a strategy to get you to buy a special pin, which is annoying.

No issues, some very minor rust - normal for the NE. I use a rubber hitch plug when not in use to keep the elements out. Continues to work well with bike racksski racks for a fraction of the factory cost.
