Features to know about

Built for Heavy-Duty Hauling: Class V Strength with 16,000 lbs GTW

When it's time to move serious weight, this hitch is ready. Rated for a maximum gross trailer weight of 16,000 lbs and up to 17,000 lbs with weight distribution, it’s made for confident towing. The 2" x 2" receiver opening and 2,400-lb tongue weight capacity handle large trailers, equipment haulers, and heavy loads without flexing. The square-tube design adds extra backbone so you can hook up and go knowing your connection point is solid.

Long-Lasting Protection: Black Powder Coat Over Protective Base Coat

This hitch is built from sturdy, powder-coated steel that resists rust and corrosion. The finish uses a black powder coat layered over a protective base coat, so it stands up to tough weather and road debris without flaking or fading. Whether you’re hauling in summer heat or winter slush, the coating keeps the steel looking clean and performing like new.

Simplifies the Job: Bolt-On Installation with Included Hardware

No need for welding or complicated setup—this hitch bolts directly to the frame using the included hardware kit. The precision robotic welds ensure everything lines up where it should, so you can get it mounted without drilling or modifying anything. It’s built to fit right and stay tight so you can spend less time in the garage and more time towing what matters.

Excellent. Thanks

by:

I took off the spring assist hitch that came on the truck when I bought it but I wanted to keep the 10” drip bumper, this worked perfect for that.

by:

Needed to replace a hitch with a specific drop and this was the only place it could be found. It shipped short of some hardware which was quickly corrected with another shipment.

  • Trailer Hitch Receiver Drop Heights For Tommy Gate Lift On a 1996 Chevrolet C2500 Pickup
While we do not have a receiver that is specifically designed to work with your 1996 Chevrolet C2500 having the Tommy liftgate, I do have some measurements that may help you determine if one will fit your truck. You will need to measure the height from the frame mounts to where the top of the receiver will be to determine if it will clear the Tommy Liftgate. The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15325 is 4-1/4" from the frame mounts to the top of the receiver. This is designed for trucks...

  • Comparison Between Class V Hitches That Are Welded Together And Hitches That Are Bolted Together
Part # C15325 has a maximum gross trailer weight capacity of 16,000 lbs and 17,000 when using weight distribution. The tongue weight capacity is 2,400 lbs and 2,400 lbs when used with weight distribution. This hitch is designed to be used on trucks without a 10 inch step bumper. This is a Class V hitch and has a 2 inch receiver opening. Another Class V hitch that may work for you if your truck has the 10 inch step bumper is part # C15317. This has the same characteristics as the # C15325,...

This hitch will have a drop from mounting point to top of the receiver tube of 7-1/4 inches. Fitment cannot be confirmed since they have not performed a test fit on the vehicle. The...

Since you have the utility bed on your 1998 Chevy C/K Series 2500 you will want to be looking at trailer hitches that are for a cab and chassis model as opposed to the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15317 for a 10" Deepdrop Bumper. So there's one of two things going on here if your Curt 3-Piece Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15511 isn't lining up properly on your 1998 Chevy K3500 pickup. The first possibility, and the most likely, is that the hitch was slightly bent, or "flexed" during shipping.
