This Class III trailer hitch receiver gives you a clean, factory look thanks to a concealed main body that tucks up under the bumper. Only the 2" x 2" receiver opening is visible, keeping things neat while still giving you full utility for bike racks, cargo carriers, and trailers. The round-tube design looks sleek, and with a gloss black powder coat over a protective base coat, it holds up against corrosion and road wear.
With a maximum gross trailer weight of 5,000 lbs and a maximum tongue weight of 750 lbs, this hitch gives you the muscle to pull small campers, boats, or utility trailers. Add a weight distribution setup and those numbers climb to 6,000 lbs GTW while maintaining the same 750 lbs tongue weight limit. The precision, robotic welding adds strength and ensures each part fits together just right for dependable support on the road.
This hitch bolts directly to your vehicle’s frame—no welding required. The included hardware kit and instructions cover everything you need to get it on with hand tools most folks already own. The design lines up with existing mounting points for an easier install whether you're in your driveway or working in a shop bay. Once mounted, it’s ready for whatever adventure or hauling task you have planned next.

Ratings & Reviews
Customer service at trailer is top notch! Although the box arrived damaged and parts of the hitch were scratched, but this is only the fault of the shipping company. Overall the hitch is in good shape and mounted perfectly on the Telluride. Good instructions, great videos from etrailer, and a solid product from Curt!
Everything is bolt on and extremely easy to install if you follow the video instruction or the instructions that come with the product. In addition to the hitch, I also got the harness which was easy to install. Thanks etrailer for making my family road trip happen.
This hitch looks and feels like a beast! Once installed and fasteners tightened it feels like it’ll tow every ounce of its rated weight.
I installed by myself in about 4 hours (which included a trip to Wally World to get a new jack when my husky decided it was done.
A couple of tips that I guarantee will make your install easier:
#1: DEFINITELY install/screw in the bolts on the exhaust (passenger) side FIRST. This is exactly what the instructions say to do, but me being the “genius” I am decided to forget about that part and screw in the driver side first.
2.) You would be well served to purchase an “exhaust hanger removal tool” for removing the hangers from the exhaust pipe. They’re all over Amazon for $16-$25. I recommend the Lisle 38350 pliers. $16.19 and 1-day shipping. If you have never dealt with removing exhaust hangers before, I promise you it will be worth every penny (even if you use it only once). It’ll save much time and many headaches.
3.) When it comes time to trim the bumper panel to allow room for the hitch, use a jigsaw with laminate blade. My cordless dewalt jigsaw w/laminate blade cut through the panel like butter and made getting a perfect fit very easy (see pictures). Obviously this requires removing the panel altogether, but I would recommend doing this regardless of what tool you’re using for the trimming.
Also, the included instructions for the 2022 Telluride version show the spare tire being lowered by using a wrench on the underside of the vehicle. While this is possible, it is exponentially easier to lower it by using a 13/16” socket on the bolt accessed from under the removable back floorboard panel (if my description of the location is confusing, see page 6-16 of the ‘22 Telluride Owner’s Manual for an illustration and better description).
Overall I give this 5 stars. I am by no means an expert (or even moderate, for that matter) “car guy”, and was able to install by myself in one day. That being said, I am above average in strength so don’t assume you will be able to do it alone - the hitch is pretty hefty (which of course is a good thing), especially when maneuvering it while on your back under the car.
If you follow the 3 tips listed above, I guarantee it will significantly reduce your install time and result in a cleaner, more professional look.
Great instructions and super easy to install. Got delivered quickly!
Hitch and wiring fit great.
Perfect fit for 2022 telluride s
Well recommended
Installed hitch in about an hour. Fit well and install went with ease.
Great hitch! Went in just like the description states. Love the fitment! I opted to leave the cover off instead of cutting it for now.
Purchased this for my 2020 Telluride and it fit perfectly. Everything lined up and the installation video was spot on. Definitely would recommend. My husband & I installed in a little over an hour.

Perfectly!! I love it!! And recommend it to other Telluride Owners. One ordered and awaiting arrival.
Very easy install and perfect fit.
I would strongly suggest adding $ 5.00 to the price and just send the M10-1.25 bolt tap.
The existing pre install threads where extremely corroded and full of dirt. The bolts would not start with out chacing the thread with the tap. Plus you don't even suggest that as a solution to the bolts not starting. Penetrating spray and a small wire brush is a joke. Especially above the muffler. There was know chance of starting those bolts. Could have saved myself an hour of installation if I had the tap to begin with. Other than that it wasn't to bad.
Last suggestion would be more cardboard protection over the bar, the paint was scratched in several places, or maybe some extra packing in the box would help.
This is the second hitch I purchased from etrailer and I am extremely satisfied with the video's provided on the website, which helped me decide on the specific hitch I wanted (this one mounted higher and required a minor cutting of the removable bumper panel which I wanted for a clean custom look and for use of my son's platform dirt bike carrier). The video's were "spot-on" and super accurate and easy to understand, which helped greatly with the installation. etrailer is a "top-notch" company and has accurate information for specific installations. The hitch arrived on time and in great condition (packaged appropriately for the delivery). The hitch is of great quality and workmanship (welds and finish). The instructions to install were accurate and easy to understand. The dimensions to cut the removable bumper panel were also accurate and easy to mark out. Installation came out perfect! I will always purchase my hitches from etrailer. I have recommended this company to two friends and they are both satisfied with the company and products purchased.
I followed the installation directions for our 2023 Kia Telluride hitch carefully. To facilitate installation, since I have no lift, I had the car extended over a down facing driveway apron and raised up on blocks. It was still a little challenging to get the parts behind the rubber exhaust pipe hangers. A car jack and ropes helped hold the hitch in place while the bolts were installed. You have to be bold when cutting a hole in the bumper for the hitch to stick through. Once installed, the hitch has worked perfectly on many bicycle excursions with either of the two Curt bicyle racks I purchased - a four bike hanger rack (which can handle three adult bikes) and a two bike flat rack. Especially for the price, this has been an excellent solution for us. I would comment on the bike racks separately.
Easy to install with the helpful video. Some parts are harder to access than others, but all the bolts lined up perfectly and no issues. It took me 1 hour or less for the whole thing with the rear wheels on blocks
Good product and easy to install without a lift if you have the right tools. I installed the hitch myself from the ground in about an hour.
Great hitch, well made and fits perfit. The installation video was extremely helpful but a little misleading. My exact vehicle (Kia Telluride) was shown in the video and shows an effortless installation but certain challenges are skipped. The video does depict that the exhaust side of the installation will be more difficult but they made it look very easy, where in fact it's extremely challenging and takes two people. But with a lot of elbow grease and cursing, we got it installed. The rest of the installation was very straight forward and I'm happy with the results. As others mentioned, shipping was very disappointing. The hitch arrived in a box that was well damaged and caused several large scratches on the hitch. This is not the fault of etrailer but they could protect the hitch better (wrapped it up) or something to protect it since their shipping companies are rough with the boxes. I did file a complaint to etrailer and they gave me a small credit back and I bought some touch-up paint.
E trailer provided excellent service very very quickly. Product was shipped and delivered exceptionally fast. Would definitely use them again for any hitch needs I have in the future.
It’s a hitch receiver alright!
Took a bit longer to install than we thought on a Telluride. Need to take the heat shield out to install. Need to trim the center section of plastic bumper. But fits and looks great.
Put this on a 2025 Telluride. It was easy to install. I did have a buddy help hold things in place while I put the initial bolts in. Have used it several times to carry a hitch haul on the back. Works and looks great.
I have ordered several hitches from etrailer and been happy with all of them, including this one for my 2025 telluride.
Install took little under two hours including getting tools together and cleanup. Couple of suggestions after my install-
DO NOT cut the bumper piece per the instructions sheets. I marked it by their measurements and it looked odd - sure enough it would not have worked. I attached a photo, if you lay the piece upside side you can mark where to cut. You can’t see the cut after it’s installed unless you get on the ground, so don’t worry about getting it perfect.
The hardware on the exhaust side was the biggest pain. I had to torque from the nut side on the bolts that go through the frame. The socket extension from the other side was too long to manage by myself while holding the nut on the back side. And the heat shield on that side requires putting the washers on the hitch frame before passing the bolt through the washer and frame.
The video was very helpful. The printed instructions could use some updates. Example, it says there are four exhaust hangers to loosen but there are only three required.
Overall not too bad to install and I’m happy with the finished product. I didn’t have any shipping box issues like some have mentioned.
Hitch works well and is good quality, However its is lower then the OE hitch presumably to reduce the amount of modifications required to trim but I would have preferred if it was OE height
Very good overall. A few things others may want to consider. The packaging is poor. The hitch is shipped in a cardboard box with no protection, so there were some dings and scratches. Having a can of glossy black spray paint available for touch ups available is a good idea.
Watch the video(s) before attempting, they are a helpful supplement to the instructions provided.
A couple notes from my installation: I recommend removing the plastic bumper cover before you mount the receiver. After removing, mount and hand tighten the receiver with the four smaller bolts to determine the exact location of the hitch and then mark the location for the bumper cover cuts with a marker. You can remove the bumper cover by just removing two screws and two push pins. This allowed me to make much more accurate and clean cuts with an oscillating saw. You can reattach the bumper cover without having to take down the hitch.
The only significant challenge was installing and tightening the two long bolts above the muffler (passenger side) due to the heat shield making the space around the bolt heads very tight. I hand to use a punch to pound the reward most bolt into the hole since I couldn't fit it in by hand. Then, I couldn't fit a socket or the round part of a hand wrench around the bolt head since there's not enough space and I couldn't reach both sides of the bolt since the muffler is in the way. Ultimately, I found I could fit the crescent (open) side of a hand wrench around the bolt head and wedge it against the car's frame to keep it from spinning while I tightened the nut side with a socket wrench.
You may want to consider borrowing a powered right angle impact wrench - or at least have someone else hold the crescent wrench while you tighten the bolt with a socket wrench.
Lastly, I backed my Telluride up to the back of my (level) garage and used the downward slope of my driveway to give me a few extra inches of clearance to work. Ramps would have been much better. Borrow a set or use some blocks if possible.
Despite the challenges, it turned out great!

I love the detail! Thank you so much for taking the time to write all that out. Anyone who comes across your review is going to be glad they did because of all the info theyll glean. What all do you plan to use the hitch for?
Very happy with my hitch purchase from etrailer. The hitch shipped the same day I ordered it, and it arrived literally the next day.
The hitch included clear instructions and I installed it in about 90 minutes. Great experience from end to end with this purchase.

Your experience here is basically the poster child for what we hope everyone can experience too! Thanks for sharing the photo -- hitch looks great!
Install was easy, as reported by my local mechanics that performed the service. Fit is good, and has mated perfectly with my Thule 4-bike rack.
