Trailer Hitch And 7-Way For 2025 Kia telluride EX X Line

Updated 11/10/2025 | Published 03/08/2025

Question:

Greetings, I purchased a 2025 Kia telluride ex x line and would like to add one the e trailer hitch that is 2, flat non glossy black which I have added to my cart. I would also like to have a 7 pin trailer light/pin connector instead of a 4 pin and that is where Im not sure what to order. My car has LED taillights. My husband has a 2025 Kia telluride sx x line with the factory hitch and wiring harness that is a 7 pin connector so Im hoping I can also add a 7 instead of 4 pin. Thanks Travis

Hello Travis, thanks for reaching out. For your 2025 Kia Telluride EX X Line I recommend the etrailer Class 3 Hitch # e45ZR. This has a 2" receiver, and features the matte black coating you are looking for. We have found the matte black coating blends better with the underbody of the vehicle.

For a wiring harness, you can use the Curt T-Connector # C29ZV. This is a 4-flat connector, and will work with your LED taillights. If you wish to upgrade that to a 4-flat/7-way combo, you can use the Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7. This kit has everything you need to upgrade the 4-flat up to a 7-way, including all of the necessary wires for a brake controller. If you need a brake controller I recommend the Redarc # RED52VR.

You will find install videos for these parts linked below. Feel free to leave a reply with any comments or questions and I will get back to you.

Hey Travis, how did the hitch and 7-way wiring setup work out on your Telluride? Your update could make it easier for others wanting to match the factory setup like your husband’s.
