This Curt trailer hitch receiver gives your vehicle a sturdy 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" opening for light-duty towing or carrying gear. With a 2,000 lbs maximum gross trailer weight and 200 lbs maximum tongue weight, it’s right at home hauling a small trailer, supporting a bike rack, or managing a cargo carrier. This hitch is made for the do-it-yourself installer. It uses a bolt-on design—no welding required—and comes with a complete hardware kit and installation instructions. Precision robotic welding ensures each mounting point lines up correctly, so the install goes smoothly in the driveway using everyday tools instead of special equipment.
The square-tube design is built from fully welded steel for strength and long-term durability. A gloss black powder coat finish over a protective base coat helps guard against rust and wear, keeping the hitch looking clean even after years of use. Quality product. Fast shipping. Reasonable price... Installation instructions reveal a tough job of dropping the exhaust and hole modification requirement. Bottom line; hitch is what I needed but I am taking it to a local shop for installation.
Fantastic product. Great fit and finish. Had some issues elongating the front holes. We ended up using a skill saw and slotted the hole. We bent the metal down and pushed it back when the washer was installed. The hardware was perfect and that wire tool for the bolts was ingenious. Thanks guys
Have not installed the trailer hitch or wiring harness, but I am impressed with how fast I received it. I am always skeptical of products that are ‘easy to install’. I purchased this directly to save about 1/3 the cost of having a local [rental trailer] business install the same unit for me. It took 90-120 minutes to install, including tool collection, set-up and clean-up. I used a tapered bit instead of a grinding tool to widen the openings in the car’s frame. This seemed easier than using a grinding tool. The bit required a plug-in drill, as my cordless didn’t spin fast enough to make the bit work properly. The biggest challenge was having space for the torque wrench to access and tighten the bolts on the exhaust side of the vehicle. Overall, great product and great installation videos. I will buy another to install myself again when I have the need.

Hitch looks to be good quality. The bolt puller cable tools made install very easy. There was a slight fitment problem on my 2012 fusion where the bumper pinch seam bolts hit the hitch. I was able to add some washers to correct it.
Only reason for 4 stars is that etrailer usually warns of all fitment issues and they missed this one.
