I have a solution for you, but the Curt # C13902 is not compatible with your 2012 Ford Fusion SEL. Instead, I recommend using the Curt # C11390 which is a confirmed fit on your 2012 Fusion SEL. This hitch has a concealed cross-tube design that will allow you to maintain the factory look on your vehicle and it has a 1-1/4" Class I receiver.

If you're going to be using this hitch for towing a small, light weight trailer, you'll also need a wiring harness, ball mount and hitch ball. For the wiring harness I recommend using the Tekonsha # 118422 because we've found that the converter boxes on the Tekonsha harnesses are a bit more reliable long term that others. For a ball mount, you'll need one compatible with a Class I hitch receiver like the Draw-Tite # 3593. This ball mount requires a hitch ball that has a 3/4" shank, but you'll want to choose the ball size depending on the trailer you'll be towing's coupler. If you need a 1-7/8" ball you can use the # 19256 and if you need a 2" ball you'll want to use the # 19258.

If you're just planning on using this hitch for a bike rack and don't already have the rack, the Swagman XC 2-Bike Rack Platform Style for 1-1/4" and 2" Trailer Hitches # S64650 is a great value. This is a platform style bike rack, which makes it easier to load your bikes onto than a hanging style rack and it secures the bikes to the rack at 3 different points so you never have to worry about your bikes not being secure.
