  • Hitch That Fits a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo
Each of the hitches you mentioned, the Curt # 13251 and Draw-Tite # 75338 will fit a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo; the only models they will not fit are the SRT-8. I recommend going with the Draw-Tite # 75338 because it has a tongue weight capacity of 750 lbs, which is 250 lbs more than the Curt hitch. I've added a photo showing how this hitch looks on a Laredo for you to take a look at. To add a 4-way connector you will need wiring harness # 118425 if your Jeep does not have the...

  • Installation of a Trailer Hitch Receiver
We do perform installs if you're local to Wentzville, MO. If you're not, you can order the hitch from us and have it installed in your area. Most trailer shops and mechanics will perform the work. If you can tell me the year, make, and model of your SUV I'd be happy to recommend a specific trailer hitch receiver.

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch And Wiring For 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee
The trailer hitch I recommend for your 2008 Grand Cherokee is the Curt Trailer Hitch # 13251. This is a Class lll hitch and it has a 2-inch receiver opening. I have attached a link to an installation video of this hitch on a 2008 Grand Cherokee you can check out. As you can see in the video, the receiver is below the bumper. The bumper on the vehicle in the video does not have a relief as you mentioned. If you plan on doing some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit...

  • Adding a 4- and 7-Way Trailer Wiring Harness on a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee
If your 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee did not come with a factory installed 7-Way trailer connector then there will be know plug and play options for a 4- and 7-Way connector but you can hardwire in one using # ETBC7. If it did come with a factory 7-Way then you can use # 20135 which is both a 4-Way and 7-Way. If you decide to hardwire in an ETBC7 and you do not already have trailer wiring, you will first need to install a 4-Way using # 118425. Then you will go ahead with the ETBC7 installation....

  • Availabillity of a Hitch for the 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo Rocky Mountain Edition
The Curt instructions do say that their hitch will not fit on the Rocky Mountain Edition vehicles. I spoke to my contact and was told that there is a bumper bracket that interferes with their hitch on that model. I checked with my contact at Reese, Draw-Tite and Hidden hitch and was told that their hitches will fit the Rocky Mountain edition. You can choose from any of their hitches on the page linked below. I would recommend the Draw-Tite Class III Trailer Hitch, item # 75338, which we...

  • Should there be Up and Down Movement in a Trailer Hitch After it is Installed
Once a trailer hitch such as # 13251 is install the hitch should not be able to move. If it does then the likely cause is hardware that is not torqued down to the specifications in the instructions or the holes the hitch uses to attach to the vehicle are rounded out, possibly due to corrosion. If the mounting location is the issue then the only way to really fix it is to either replace the part on the vehicle, which would be very expensive, or have a local welding shop fix it. I do not...

The torque specs can change which is why you will need to refer to the link with an up to date copy of the instructions. • Compatible Trailer Hitch for a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Yes, that will be the correct hitch you need to pull a single Jet Ski with your 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The Curt hitch item # 13251 you've selected has a towing capacity of up to 5000 lbs. When loaded, the weight of a jet ski trailer can fluctuate from 800 to 3,000 pounds with an average load capacity of 1,500 pounds. You'll also need a 4-way connector to the Jeep to power the trailer's signal lights. I recommend purchasing the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector...

  • Is Bumper Fascia Cutting Required for Installation of the Curt Hitch #13251On a Jeep Grand Cherokee
If you are installing the Curt Class III Trailer Hitch, item # 13251, on a 2005 to 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee (except SRT8), there will be no cutting of the fascia required to install the hitch. If your vehicle has any aftermarket parts, then that will need to be determined at the time of installation. Some items you may need with the Class III hitch are listed below. Drawbar # C45010 Hitch Ball # 19260 or # 19247 Hitch Lock Kit # e99039

  • Is Fascia Cutting Required to Install Hitch 13251 on a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Hitch # 13251 does not require any fascia cutting for installation, but you will need to remove your tow hooks, if your 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee is equipped with them. You will need to remove the plastic push fasteners so you can pull back your bumper cover, but these would be re-inserted after the hitch is installed. I have included a link to the installation instructions, and an installation video for a similar vehicle showing how the push fasteners are removed and re-installed.

  • Base Plates, Tow Bar, Wiring, Safety Cables, and Braking System to Flat Tow a 2000 Chevy S-10
The first thing you will need are base plates on the 2000 Chevy S-10 LS. There are several options available depending on if the truck has 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive. For 2 wheel drive, I recommend Roadmaster Base Plates, # 161-1. For 4 wheel drive, use Roadmaster base Plates, # 179-2. These are XL style base plates which means the visible part can be removed when not towing. Next, you will need a tow bar compatible with XL style base plates. • Choosing the Correct Hitch for a Jeep Grand Cherokee 2006
I recommend the Draw-Tite Hitch item # 75338. The Draw-Tite has a higher towing and tongue capacity than the Curt item # 13251. The Draw-Tite has a 7500 lbs GTW over 5000 lbs GTW for the Curt. The tongue weight being a difference of 750 lbs and 500 lbs respectfully. The hitches have identical installation methods. They both require lowering the spare tire, removing a couple of pins holding on a piece of trim, installing 4 bolts through the rear bumper support, then reinstalling the trim...

For your 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee, I would recommend the Curt Class III Receiver, part # C13182.
