Does the rear bumper cover need to be cut out to install this hitch?

Hitch # 13251 does not require any fascia cutting for installation, but you will need to remove your tow hooks, if your 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee is equipped with them.
You will need to remove the plastic push fasteners so you can pull back your bumper cover, but these would be re-inserted after the hitch is installed.
I have included a link to the installation instructions, and an installation video for a similar vehicle showing how the push fasteners are removed and re-installed.
