I have another option for you, but the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Multi Fit - Class III - 2" # C13900 you were looking at is designed to fit older Jeep Grand Cherokee's and will not fit your vehicle.
Instead I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 13251 which is confirmed to fit your 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee as long as it is not a SRT model.
The # 13251 has a 500lb tongue weight rating and 5000lb trailer weight rating make it a great option for carrying a bike rack, a cargo carrier, or towing a trailer.
If you are planning on towing with your Jeep you will need a vehicle wiring harness # 118425, and a ball mount, hitch ball, and hitch pin and clip which can all be found in the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900.
