I have a 2026 Silverado 3500 and need a 42 hitch extension. What are my options?

Hey Jeffrey! The longest hitch extension for the 2-1/2" receiver on your Silverado is the Curt Hitch Extension and Reducer for 2-1/2" Trailer Hitches - 24" to 34" Long # C45048.
If your ball mount is at least 8" long from the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball that will give you the 42" extension you're looking for. If you were already accounting for the ball mount there may be an extended ball mount that could push it out far enough for the clearance you need.
The other option is to install the TorkLift SuperHitch Magnum Trailer Hitch Receiver # TL74FR. This will replace your factory hitch and allow you to use the TorkLift SuperTruss Hitch Extension for SuperHitch Trailer Hitch Receivers - 42" Long # TLE1542. You may also need a 7-way extension like # TLW6042.
