For your 2017 Chevy Silverado 2500 with factory 2-1/2 inch receiver, the Hitch Box Extension and Reducer for Titan 2-1/2" Trailer Hitches, 24" - 34" Long # RP45292 will work great for you without any weight distribution needed. You may want to add a wiring extension like the 7-Way Connector 7' Loop # 20027 which can be shortened for your application or the TorkLift Wiring Harness Extension for 36" SuperTruss Hitch Extender - 7-Way RV # TLW6036 which already fits.

You may also want to consider a lock like # C23519 to secure your investment.

To compare the Reese Hitch Box Extension and Reducer for Titan 2-1/2" Trailer Hitches, 24" - 34" Long # RP45292 to the Curt Hitch Extension and Reducer for 2-1/2" Trailer Hitches - 24" to 34" Long # C45048 there are few differences as they are very similar. They are rated for the same distances and weights, the only real difference is the safety chain loops and bracket are stronger on the Reese unit and that unit comes with the trim and cap. I recommend the Curt product because it has the same capacities, is less expensive, and is made in America.
