Question:
I have a 19 chevy 3500 HD Dually and I bought an Arctic Fox 990 yesterday. It overhangs the bumper enough that I will need a serious extension for the hitch. I am looking at the Curt 45048, but I will want to put on the stability chains. Do you have any that are suitable for the Chevy hitch? I will be towing my boat or flatbed with a side X side. Thanks you.

Hey Joe! You can use the Curt Hitch Extension and Reducer for 2-1/2" Trailer Hitches # C45048 but there are no stability chains available. Torklift is the only one that has them, and they only come with their extenders. Since they don't have an extender for your 2-1/2" factory hitch that isn't an option without investing quite a bit more to trade out your trailer hitch.
You can probably talk to a local fabricator and have them make some brackets similar to the ones found on the TorkLift Cannon # TLE1648 that will fit your factory hitch. The shackles, chain, and tightener can probably be picked up locally to put the rest together, just make sure it is rated properly. You probably need a 7-way extension like the # TLW6032 as well. Keep in mind, the use of the extension is going to cut the capacity of your hitch in half.
Any big trips planned once you get your Arctic Fox all set up?

Hey Joe, how did things turn out with the Curt hitch extension on your Chevy dually and Arctic Fox setup? Were you able to get the stability chains or brackets sorted out with a local fabricator? Your update could make it easier for others towing with a similar setup.
