The Curt Double Lock Underbed Gooseneck Hitch is designed for serious towing. With a 30,000 lb gross towing weight rating and a 7,500 lb vertical load limit, it’s ready for demanding jobs—hauling construction equipment, livestock trailers, or a big fifth wheel. The double-lock system uses two pins instead of one to secure the ball, giving an extra layer of strength and stability while on the move.
Towing feels solid thanks to Curt’s double-lock design. The chrome-plated 2-5/16" hitch ball locks in place with two pins that hold it tight. To connect your trailer, pull the handle out from the wheel well, drop in the ball, and rotate it until the pins snap into position. That dual-pin engagement adds security and peace of mind every time you hook up.
When it’s time to load up your bed instead of tow, just remove the ball and store it. The below-bed design leaves the bed surface open, giving you full use of your truck bed for gear or materials. A rubber cover fits over the ball hole to keep out dirt and grime while maintaining a clean look.
This hitch is made from black powder-coated steel with zinc-plated locking parts for long-term durability. The chrome ring around the hitch ball opening gives it a low-profile finish, while built-in safety chain hookups are part of the assembly. The custom mounting kit uses Grade 8 hardware and requires only a 4" hole in the bed—no welding needed.
