Perfect for winches, spare tire carriers and more.This is a high quality hitch that fits the Gladiator perfectly. The hardest part of the installation was removing and reinstalling the push fasteners on the plastic air dam. While the hitch fit is perfect, the instructions for cutting the plastic air dam leave something to be desired. I finally had to eyeball the location for the hole and then found that the suggested utility knife simply wouldn't cut the plastic air dam. An oscillating saw solved the cutting problem easily and the best guess location worked out. Am I happy with the end result? You bet! Would I do it again? Absolutely.
Poor Customer Service and Quality Control! 3 days to process the order and 5 days before receiver hitch arrived. The hitch arrived in a box with no packaging material inside and was damaged on the mounting areas and the face of the receiver (see photo). Appears this item was repacked and resent to me, vice a “new” item as advertised. I contacted etrailer about shipping a replacement item, but they said there is no guarantee the next one would not arrive in the same shape as the first one. Very disappointed and certainly do not recommend etrailer for any of their products or services!
I was surprised that there is no way to fasten the plastic front shield back on - the two screw holes are removed for the lower bolts when the metal wind guard is removed....I ended up using some tie wraps......a hoaky prayer of a fix...otherwise the draw tite receiver is nice.
Jenny N - 12/13/2021All around great experience. Great service, and enjoyed tracking my front receiver for my 2022 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. Installation was easy, if you watch the video. Do purchase a trim remover before your project begins. You’ll be glad you did. I dropped down 5 5/8” for the base of my cut on the air dam. Used the heavy duty zip ties to secure the base of the air dam. Hats off to the team, for providing a solid product and experience.
My 2006 dodge ram same year install front hitch has been useful, same 500# down load or 9000# forward pull load, bolts to frame like bumper my 2021 jeep 4dr Rubicon install For no replacement of plastic rock skirt-apron or metal air dam the project time can be less one hour. My more laborious steps cutting metal air dam and handle-nuts up inside the frame I had misunderstood gap being between lock nut and bolt, instead of placing between hitch and frame contact “Contents photo” of Crush washer, lock washer and flat washer bolt pairing is not coinciding with the instructions I positioned the handle nut inside of the frame hollow from top handle down. bottom bolt handle up Hitch adds a strong cross beam for protection except one part the metal air dam covers the electric sway bar mech \mark/measure cutting lines inside plastic. trimmed hole with box cutter Get the cut correct and trimmed to avoid plastic fastener/ machine screw misalignment to frame My finished project the hitch lock pin was tight but not with a standard pin
I had this installed at the dealership and it fits perfectly.
Hitch arrived very quickly. Heavy duty construction. Pre-fitment installation looks like it will fit my 2021 Jeep Rubicon. Receiver length looks good under the OEM front bumper! I'm tempted to go buy a snow plow now and plow the roads of Dallas, TX!

2020 Jeep Wrangler Sahara JLU Followed video for a quick/easy install. I did have to cut more out of plastic splash guard to clear the steel plate on hitch above receiver. I also only needed to use 2 spacer washers on the bottom bolts.
The Draw-Tite front mount hitch receiver was extremely easy to install on my JLU. To prep the Jeep, I removed the front plastic air dam and metal air dam before the hitch arrived. As a result, once the hitch arrived, installation took a lot less time. I have yet to connect anything to the hitch receiver, but it seems to be a high quality item.
Placed my order for the Draw Tite front mount hitch on Monday came on Wednesday. I put it on Thursday morning. Fairly straight forward directions. Seems like it’s built strong. Another great deal from etrailer and draw tite! I’ll be using this for placing trailers in tight spots, and can also be used for a recovery point.
Easiest install I ever did. Fits perfectly on a Rubicon with steel bumper. Reused a couple bolts and will take an angle grinder to the removed skid plate soon.
Very good product. I wish I would have know that the 8 push in retaining tabs for the plastic air dam were hard to install as I would have bought the tool to install them. There is no room to get your fingers in there to reset them. It took almost as long to put those 8 plastic retaining tabs back in as it took to remove everything and install the hitch. I did cut the metal air deflector to use part of it to hold the bottom bolts as it was very flimsy relying on just the 8 plastic tabs to hold it in place. I flatten the the metal pieces I cut so it would not interfere with the torque rating on the front bottom bolts. The unit is very solid and holds my fishing, bike and cargo racks very well. The handle nuts are different and I had to cut the lower one as it stuck out 2-1/2" below the frame. There is room and access points to use regular nuts on the JL. Trimming the plastic air dam took a little work as the measurements are at an angle and had to trim it in place for the final fit. Looks nice, I have to touch up where I scrape off some paint. It took 1-1/2 hours but like I said without the proper tool took it me 35 minutes to install the plastic retaining tabs. I started at 5:30 AM, so it was fight them back on or wait for the auto parts store to open at 9:00 AM, buy or borrow the tool before you start and save some aggravation. Once again great product and etrailer as it was delivered a day early. I would recommend this product and etrailer to others.

I ordered the receiver on 1 November 2020 from your company. When I checked the status some days later I learned that the receiver would not be available until 28 December. I was expecting that I would have to wait until after Christmas but the sales/support team at etrailer contacted me in early December informed me that I would receive the unit early. I installed the receiver in about an hour and the instructions were easy to follow. For a Gladiator I would recommend a short handle 3/8 inch ratchet for the top inside bolts. The reason for the 5 stars, Great Customer service and I received exactly what I ordered. Thanks etrailer!

I have been waiting for this product to be available since I purchased my 2018 JL ! If you own boat trailers or utility trailers a front hitch is a must have item! I also have a warn winch which can mount on the front as well as a rack! Most valuable too I own
Pros: fast free delivery, excellent packing, product very well finished, good fit, very easy to install. So I am satisfied with my etrailer hitch Cons: the instructions in the package were for a different product and for a different car. Thankfully I found instructions from some else on a forum that had installed one. This is the reason for the missing star. I highly recommend this product.
The DrawTite front hitch for my 2018 Jeep Wrangled JL arrived quickly ; it's well constructed, black glossy finish nice, fit well, all necessary fasteners included. Easy install, dimensions for trimming plastic air dam included, if you wish to reinstall it.
I am so glad I upgraded from Curt to Draw-Tite; from the advice from Etrailer. I can be rest assured with the 500lb capability. My 15 year old son helped me, piece of cake.

If you have to park a trailer this is the way to do it. Drive forward not backwards to park a trailer in a tight spot. One of the first things I added to my Gladiator.
