Erickson E Track - E59143

  • E Track Anchor
  • 1200 lbs
  • Erickson

Create a tie-down point for securing a cargo strap, rope, net, or tarp by snapping this fitting into your E-track anchor or rail. Steel attachment point and polyester strap are durable.

Features:

  • Creates a tie-down point in your trailer for rope, cargo straps, net, or tarps
  • Clips easily into an E track anchor or rail (sold separately)
  • Constructed of durable steel and polyester webbing

Specs:

  • Strap dimensions: 6" long x 2" wide
  • D-ring dimensions: 2" wide x 1-1/2" tall
  • Maximum load (break strength): 3,500 lbs
  • Safe working load limit (WLL): 1,200 lbs

Note: Tie-down anchors must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the anchors being used. For example, if you are using anchors with a WLL of 100 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 400 lbs, then you need at least 4 anchors to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use anchors in pairs.

  • Recommended Tie-Downs to Secure Newer Mustangs with Limited Wheel Well Clearance to Trailer
To safely secure your 2018 Mustang Saleen and GT500 I recommend using the Erickson E-Track Wheel Tie-Down Strap # EM58523. This ratcheting tire strap is a perfect solution for your application since it will only touch the tread on the tire and the ratchet can be positioned out of the way from the vehicle on the E-track. To use the ratchet straps you will just need to install some E-tracks like the 5 Foot Long # E19148. These are available in shorter and longer lengths as well so I have...

  • Backing Plate Recommendation for E-Track for Securing Track to Wood Floor Trailer
The E-Track like part # E19148 that you referenced has a capacity of 2,000 lbs so it would do well securing a 2,500 lb trailer at 4 points as each track would have 1/2 the weight. I would recommend you use backing plates below the floor of your trailer like part # e96RR since your tractor is pretty heavy and the floor of your trailer is wood. For D-Rings to install in the track you would want the part # E59143 so that you could use a ratchet strap like the # EM01314.

  • Tire Tie Downs for E-Track in an Enclosed Trailer for a Sports Car
For your trailer the tracks have openings that go front to back. To secure vehicle tires you would need the openings to run left to right like # E19148. Then you could use # 77314 which has e-track fittings. But we can make it work by using a couple of tie downs, # E59143, and ratchet straps such as # EM34416. If a vehicle has smaller or larger tires you would just place the tie downs in the appropriate spots on the tracks. Vehicles that are wider or narrower may still work on the same...

  • Mounting E-Track for Hauling Motorcycle on 8 x 5 Trailer
That's a great question. I believe your installation method for the Erickson Horizontal E-Track # EM59150 sounds like a great plan as long as you have the tracks facing the direction of travel. Basically the E-Track was designed around this and that is the most safe way to secure cargo. To secure your 900 lb bike you can either use the Erickson E-Track Tie-Off w/ D-Ring # E59143 with your current ratchet straps or you can update to the Erickson E-Track Strap with Ratchet # EM59136 which...

  • Should the Tires Sit on Top of the E-Track System When Installed in a Trailer
The E-track system can install any way you would like on your trailer. It is common to install the E-Tracks so the wheels of a vehicle are on top of the E-track. This allows you to use wheel nets, like part # EM58523, that attach directly to the E-track system. Many wheel nets typically have only one hook in front of the tire and one hook behind the tire. Installing the E-track system so the wheels are on top of the track rather than on the side provides more stability when transporting...

  • Spare Tire Mount Recommendation for Trailers with Limited Frame Space
We do have a couple different spare tire mount options for you to check out. You could go with the Spare Tire Carrier for E-Track Systems, # RA-16HST, that you referenced, but you will also need an E-Track rail. For this I recommend the 4 ft Vertical E-Track, # E19146. The E-track system was primarily designed to be installed inside of an enclosed trailer, but you could install it on the outside of the trailer if you would like. I do not recommend installing it on the side of the trailer...

  • Securing a Jeep Wrangler with 35 Inch Tall, 12-1/2 Inch Wide Tires to E-Track
The E-track tire strap # EM58523 is 12 feet long so it would fit. You could also use an E-track D-ring # E59143 witch an axle strap, # 58505, and ratchet strap # 58503. The D-Ring will attach to the E-track. The axle strap will loop around the Jeep axle, and the ratchet strap will hook to the D-Ring and the loops on the axle strap.

  • Using The E-Track Trailer Cargo Control # EM59150 On Trailer To Secure ATVs and Motorcycles
Installing the E-Track Trailer Cargo Control, part # EM59150, would work well to strap down your ATVs and motorcycles on your V-nose trailer. You could mount the E-Track sideways or perpendicular to the trailer frame over the floor as you described. The E-Track can also be mounted on the wall of trailers, so perhaps you could mount the track for the ATVs on the floor towards the front of the trailer. Then you could mount track on the trailer walls for the motorcycles or on the floor as...

The Snap-Loc Single-Slot E-Track Bolt-On Tie-Down Anchor # SLSS measures 5-3/4 x 1 x 1/2 inches. These single-slot E-Track Anchors are an ideal way to add additional single tie-down points to a trailer. The low-profile steel brackets can install on the ceiling, wall or floor of your trailer and can be inverted to provide a recessed tie-down point. They are rated for 3000-lbs each and are sold as single units. These are suitable for installation on any interior parts of your trailer...

  • Can I Use The Vertical E-Track E19146 In The Horizontal Position For My Covered Cargo Trailer
My contact at Erickson confirmed that you are definitely able to use the Vertical E-Track # E19146 in the horizontal position. The advantage for you is that it will mount to the space you need it to fit. The only disadvantage of using the Vertical Track # E19146 is that there are less anchor points to hook into than the Horizontal E-Track, part # EM59150. To connect straps to the E-Track, you will need to use E-Track 2 Inch D-Ring, part # E59143. I have linked a video review of the D-ring...

  • Can self-Tapping Screws Be Used To Install E-Track In Toy Hauler With No Under Bed Access
If you are using self-tapping screws and attaching the part # E19148 5-foot rails to metal, you would be okay. If you are installing this into wood I would recommend making sure you have the right size fasteners for the 1/4 inch mounting holes, and that you have at least 3/4 inch depth for the screws to be fastened to. You should also use as many mounting holes as possible to attain the maximum strength needed. Wood screws will work better than self-tapping metal screws unless your decking...

  • Can the Erikson E-Track System Be Used In An Aluminum Utility Trailer
The Erickson E-Track system will work great in your aluminum utility trailer, but you will want to put a layer between the E-Track and the aluminum of your trailer. This layer will help prevent corrosion cause by contact of dissimilar metals. This layer can consist of almost any material, such as wood, rubber, or plastic. When installing the E-Track system in a trailer, one thing to keep in mind is to select locations that provide structural components, such as wall studs and floor supports....

  • Optimal Direction of Pull When Using E Track
In order to achieve the full capacity of the ratchet straps and the track, the direction of the pull should be parallel to the direction that the e track is running. How much the capacity would be diminished by pulling 90 degrees to the side will depend on the weight of the load. If the load is close to the capacity of the straps, pulling out 90 degrees could damage the clip that locks the strap into the track or possibly damage the track itself. You may also be interested in purchasing...

  • Recommended Attachment Method for E-Track in a Trailer with 1/8 inch Thick Steel Floor
For installing the E-track like part # EM59150 that you referenced I would use self tapping screws in every other hole of the track. This is a 2 foot section of the E-track. If you needed a 5 foot section you would also want the part # E19148. For a D-ring that is designed to fit the E-track you would want the part # E59143.

  • Will the Angle of Pull Affect The Weight Capacity of Erickson E-Track # E19148 or D-Ring # E59143
The direction of pull doesn't necessarily affect the load capacity of either the e track or the D-Rings, however, when ratcheting down your load, the direction of pull should be parallel to the direction that the Erickson # E19148 e track is running. D-Rings, such as Erickson # E59143 are an excellent hook-up option for a couple of reasons: first, because if you happen to have different loads at different attachment points, these rings are easily movable and second because they have a 3,500lb...

  • Keeping Cargo from Moving and Shifting in Enclosed Trailer
Adding trailer suspension enhancement such as # TTRA1702 can definitely help with ride quality but I think the best solution to keep loads on the pallet is some cargo control devices. You could start with a cargo net, I have included a link to the various sizes we carry. A cargo net is a simple solution to secure a large group of items with one device. You can also get some E-Track, # E19148, and attach them to the sides of the trailer. Then use some D-Ring tie downs, # E59143, and ratchet...

If you are attaching the tracks to the floor I recommend you make sure they are secured either to the metal structure of the trailer or use metal plates like the E-Track Backing Plate, part # e96RR, to make it as secure as possible. The working load limit for the E-Track system like the part # E19148 that you referenced is 2,000 lbs. There isn't a set method required for tightening a load to the E-Track. Basically you would want to use a properly rated strap for the weight of the item and use your discretion to secure it in whatever manner works best. • Where to Install E-Tracks in Enclosed Trailer Carrying Polaris ATV and Motorcycles
Since you will be using your E-Track system, part # E19148, for transporting more than one type of vehicle, you will want to try to find mounting locations that will work for all of them.
