Question:
Hi, I have a metal 5 x 10 Ft utility trailer with a wooden deck pressure treated planks. I plan to purchase 2 - 5 ft ETracks and hardware/staps etc. My 2014 LowRider is a bit less than 8 feet in length. I plan to install the track to accomodate the proper tongue weight but was not sure of the spacing on either side of the bike. Is there a preferred angle or distance to mount the track holding the tiedowns to get the best holding power and stability while the bike is on a front chock? ie: how far is the track is mounted from the tires? Could you also put together a list of suggested components for me to order to hold down my bike via front handlebars and rear straps. Please include which quick connects and miscelanous hardware to make this a great installation...I do not want to skimp. I will be also buying other trailer components thanks to the great assistance I received today on the phone!! I look forward to placing my order. Thanks for your assistance!!

If you can get your tie down straps around 45 degrees or slightly higher when securing your Harley you would be setup pretty good. This number is more of a guideline than a rule though. Your best bet would be to mock up everything first and then make sure everything would fit properly. Put your bike in the trailer and then determine where they best place to locate the tracks would be.
For D-rings to use with the E-track you would want the part # E59143, for backing plates for installing the e-track # E19148 you would want the part # e96RR. For a set of ratchet straps I would recommend the part # EM34410. With the straps you will also want the part # 06303 to prevent the straps from damaging the handlebar finish. You will want to use 4 straps for securing your bike. If you don't have a wheel chock already I would recommend the # TWSPWC.
