Tie-down anchors must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the anchors being used. For example, if you are using anchors with a WLL of 100 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 400 lbs, then you need at least 4 anchors to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use anchors in pairs.

Today, we're going to be taking a look at the CargoSmart Rope Ring and tie-down for E-track and X-track systems with a 2000 pounds safe working load limit, the part number is 3481767. Now this rope loop and tie down is going to come in handy for all applications, but especially in the heavy duty applications. This offers a 2000 pound safe working load limit. That's going to be a lot higher than what we see out of most tie-downs like this. It has heavy duty steel construction. That way we can ensure that it's going to last a very long time.
We'll take a closer look at that in a minute. And we also have the white zinc coating. So whether you're using it inside or outside a trailer, it's going to last for a very long time.Now, overall, from outside to outside of our ring, we've got about two inches there. Then the usable portion on the inside, it's going to be about an inch and a half. Now, just by holding it, you can tell there's a significant quality difference in this design versus some of the other ones that we're used to.
You can see with this, we've just got a single stamped piece of steel that goes down and around. That creates our loop. With the one from CargoSmart, you can see this is layered, just like a master lock is, where you get the layers of plate steel. Then those are going to be riveted together. This is going to give us superior strength and that's what's going to allow us to get up to that 2000 pounds safe working load limit.
So to get it installed, we pull up on that. We want that larger side to go in first, the backside comes down and then we just pull it rearward. It's going to click into place.Now in our application today, we're using this as a tie-down point. So we're going to be using straps. You see there's a nice large opening there.
So whether you're using straps or using it as a rope tie-down, you're going to have more than enough room to get that ran through there. Even several times, if you're using the rope. These can also be used to redirect rope. So you can put it on the side, the floor, just about anywhere you want. You can run your rope around an item through that, and then back to tie it off. So, really great as a tie-down point, like we're using it here. Or also as a lashing point for rope. And that'll complete our look at the CargoSmart Rope Ring and tie-down, part number 3481767.
2000# rings were need to hold down my Polaris Ranger 570. The 1000# rings ovaled after 8+/- uses as the load was too much. Products for etrack, from etrailer are great. I just didn’t Buy the right load initially

the order getting filled took a couple more days than what i expected. but the quality of the product and more importantly the customer service will keep my coming back. great communication from etrailer of when the product was shipping AND when it arrived. receiving an email of when it was delivered was fantastic as i was on vacation when it did. so i was able to make sure it was taken care of. plus follow up email to ensure everything was ok. great customer service is hard to find, but etrailer has it down!!!!
These rope rings work as intended. While I have not experienced the max load rating, it looks strong and sturdy enough to withstand heavy loads and help secure your cargo. I ise these in my enclosed cargo trailer to tie down my motorcycle, coolers, accessories and grar. Aside from reviewing this product, we cannot leave behind e-trailer’s super customer service, product availability, fast shipping, and a variety of products catering to my trailer needs. Awesome work!
purchased the snap-loc loc-rings the first time. I was greatly disappointed in the quality and how they "snapped in". etrailer was happy to refund and return. I ordered the cargo smart rope rings. Far superior locking action--will not disengage by simply "rattling around". I couldn't be happier with this application. Thank you etrailer--- you displayed great customer service!!
Think the product was great. Installation was easy. Just wish I had bought the tracks for the walls at the same time. Going to order those now. I would highly recommend this for any trailer.
we use these tie downs for everything from 55 gallon drums to a smalkl row boat, they are heavy duty and very rigid.
Strong hold and easy to use. I have some straps with rings on them and these are far superior to those and much stronger.
