Today we're going to review the Hopkins Endurance Multi-Tow Twist-Mount 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector. Part Number HM40920. This is what it looks like when it's installed. Let's go ahead and cover some of the features. First up we'll go ahead and open it, take a look inside our seven pole connector. This is a very common 7-way RV style connector with the flat blades. This will accommodate seven circuits. If we look on top of the lid here, it has a seal that helps protect the contacts when it's not being used. One neat thing also about the look compared to the OEM one, you notice I can run this all the way up and almost 180 degrees.
Comparing that to a factory one. Doesn't go quite as far. With this one it makes it a lot easier to take our 7 pole connector from our trailer and plug it into place. You'll also notice that this tab right here fits over this part. Let's go ahead and take a look at the 4 pole connector underneath. It has its own protective lid. Rotate it out of the way and this will accommodate your 4 pole connector from your trailer.
Just line up the pins, push it into place. Of course, when you're not using it, the nice cap goes right back into place and covers the contacts. One thing to know about the construction, this is all created from a durable ABS construction and then the cap here is made of a softer, rubber like material. This is a great option compared to the original factory unit that you can replace it from the dealership. With our new endurance connector here you have the best of both worlds. Easy installation. It took less than five minutes to install and it works great. I installed it on my 2004 Chevy 2500 HD.
Nice product. Kind of a sloppy fit for my factory 2005 Avalanche hitch though. The 7 pin connector doesn't pin out correct but the 4 pin does so I'll go with that.
Product worked well. A slight modification to gap. A small amount on file work and connector locked correctly. I am well pleased with product. The plug worked as described and delivery was timely.

It was easy to install. Was exact fit for my 2006 Duramax. The 2 plug design is just what I needed, no more adapters required from hooking to any of my trailers. Item was delivered on time and without issue thanks to etrailer. Great job folks.
I bought this to replace the OEM part. Fit in the original bracket no problem. Works great. Especially like the 7 way/4 way connectors. No need for an adapter.

Install was a breeze. I’ve used the 4 pin flat connector and it worked perfectly. No more adaptor for me.

Recently purchased a trailer with 7 pin round connector and trailer brakes. The connector worked perfectly with the truck and trailer without needing any re-wiring
This was a perfect fit. I wish the website would have come up with this as the right one for my Suburban, and have notified them of this.
Went in easy and seems to be a perfect replacement for the broken one. As always, great customer serivice and a good product.

After a year, it still works great. Better than the OEM part, much sturdier and has the 4-flat connector built-in.
I routinely tow a couple of different trailers. One has a 7 way connector, and another has a 4 way connector. I kept misplacing my 7 to 4 converter, so I purchased this as a direct replacement for my Yukon's factory connector. While it's nice to have the 7 way and 4 way there all the time, the plug fits a little bit loose in the factory socket. It should work fine, I just wish it fit in there tighter.
Easy plug and play, could be a little snugger fitting, but not a problem.

This connector was exactly what I was looking for. I wanted an "all in one unit" for my 7-way and flat 4 connections because of the problems associated with using a connector converter. This has worked out great.

My original equipment had reached its life. This allowed me to get rid of a 4-way to 7-way connector.
It was easy to install and it has worked great!!! One plug for my boat trailer and one for my camper, all in one. Now if I could figure a way to haul both at the same time. :)

This is the product GM should have installed... I received this piece and had it installed in 30 seconds.
Twist out and unplug original 7 blade connector, plug in harness and twist in this one... never look for your 7 to 4 adapter again.
Good quality piece with gaskets and hinges that are far more robust than many of the competitors.
I bought this for a base model 09 Silverado. Twists in place by the license plate for a clean look, ease of use, and no more dangling pig tail. I bought this for the 4-pin to use with my boat. I’d recommend this to any and everyone with an 09 Silverado
Exactly what I need works perfectly for all types of trailer wiring. Perfect plug and play for my 2008 GMC Acadia.
A direct replacement for my truck. Only problem i encountered was the spring tang broke will i was test fitting the mount. I plan on purchasing another to put on my wife's Suburban. I'll be extra careful when I install that one.

Wasnt a perfect fit, somewhat loose but still hanging in there. I like the dual connectors, eliminates the use of an adapter.
