Hi Alex!

The TowSmart Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # TS64ZR will indeed fit a 2023 Subaru Forester Wilderness Edition. It will actually fit all versions of Forester for this model year, so you are good to go!

Couple things to note though. There is no drilling through the frame required for the installation, but several access holes will need to be enlarged by filing or with a rotary tool. The exhaust will also need to be temporarily lowered, but this is easier than it sounds. Just pop it out of the rubber hangers and you have more room to work now. The last thing is a heat shield that must be permanently removed for hitch installation. Again, not a difficult thing to do, but still wanted to make you aware.

What are you wanting to use this hitch for once it's installed?

Awesome sauce! I'll be using this to carry my bicycles and at times a trailer.

@Alex Nice! What kind of bikes will you be carrying? And do you have a bike rack already? Oh and when you are getting ready to tow your trailer, make sure you have the wiring for it. If you don't, you will want to grab the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56040. It's plug and play, so the install is pretty quick and easy to get installed.

@LazerS I have some road bikes and mountain bikes. I do not have a bike rack yet. I've been doing some research. Gotcha!

@Alex Well if you haven't seen it yet, I'm going to throw the Hollywood Racks Destination E Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount # HLY66ZR into the mix. It does say it's for an e-bike, but it doesn't have to be. It's just rated to carry up to 70 pound bikes, which is always a nice thing to have at your disposal. It can also be attached to the frame or seat post of the bike, so it's pretty versatile with what it can carry. Little pricy, but it is a very nice bike rack. ^___^
